sickly seedlings :( with pics.

I have some bag seed that ive been playingwith to practice sprouting techniques on and to test out my new HPS setup before using the expensive seeds, The seedling is being grown in soil, under 400watts of HPS at about 20 inches away from the top, the temp can be anywhere from 74-83 (i havent ducted the exhaust fan mounted to my hood yet) so far its recived nothing but water, and was grown in a jiffy peat pellet until it had roots suitable for a pot, its about 1 week and a half to two weeks since it has broken the soil, the problem is that the leaves are kind of curling upwards and getting a light color, with dark green blotches in the leaves, i hope you can see it in the pics as they were taken by a camera phone, i keep a 10 inch fan blowing across the tops and im diong my best to keep them cool, and adding humidity via light sprays from a spray bottle, other than the leaves acting funky its realy strong, im thinking its the heat being to high and maybe too stale form the HPS exhaust so im keeping the room open as much as possible to allow new air in.
any input and advice is greatly appreciated.

your lites are too strong for seedlings move it a couple more feet away, and acclamate it slowly
flouros are better for seedlings, even the spiral flouros you screw in a regular lamp

ok i still have 4 4foot floros and hoods and chains ill just set them back up to veg and HPS to flower yeah?
