Mildew on coco

I started to have a white powder mildew problem about a month ago. It started on my starter cubes from clones that I bought so it probably was there before I got them and was just not visible yet. I have been burning sulfer for three weeks now and my canna cocco medium still has the mildew on the top layer of medium. It stays off the plants (most likely because of the sulfer) but I can't seem to kill the mold on the soil. Does anyone have any recomendations?

i would think the sulphur would make it's way down to the surface of your coco. have you taken a really close look at it to ensure that's what it is? can i ask your feeing /water schedule? what's the ppm of your water before adding nutes? i'm a huge coco fan. always curious how others grow with it.

I usually water every other day. Sometimes if it seems to dry up quicker I will water 2 days in a row. Most of the mold is gone, but i can't quite get rid of all of it, its really frustrating. This might not affect my product but i wish i could just get rid of all of it. As far as my water, i just use tap water, add dechlor to remove cl- then ph to 5.2-5.8 and add nutes.

once mine get pretty good sized i feed 2x a day. strange about that mold. have you just tried leaving your water out for 24 hrs. to let the chlorine dissapate? you ph "before" you add nutes? after all nutes/additives are added, then adjust ph.

Thanks for the advice on PH after nutes. The Coco nutes don't change the PH at all tho cuz just for a test I PHed before and then checked PH after adding the nutes and it was the same. By now pretty much all the mold is gone, I think it just needed several weeks of sulfer. Recently though, the humidity in the room has dropped considerably( which could have killed the mold as well), it used to be between 40-50 (I was using a demidifier on occasion if it went over 55%) and in the last week or two it was been staying inbetween 25-35% for no apparent reason. My plants still seem and look healthy, Is this a dangerously low humidity?

it could be better. i think 35 is fine. i have a hard time keeping rh up. 25-35 isn't optimum but i think you can do fine with it.
