Seedling growth.......

Well I completely aborted my hydro setup for now. I think my plant was just drowning due to a high water level. I germinated and planted 2 more beans, this time in soil. I planted them 5 days ago now and the look really good so far. The husks fell off them both, but the leaves haven't unfolded yet. They are under 4-40w flouros right now, and I have a 150w hps for when they are a bit further along. They are both about 1.5 inches tall and the first 2 leaves are down but the other set won't unfold. I know it's hard without a picture, but I have no digi-cam yet. Any suggestions on whats going on. Or am I just being impatient.....Here is the best pic I have for now (with a cell phone camera)

From the pic, it looks like the first true set of leaves have formed, but the cotyledon leaves (the first, smooth pair) are still joined by ebryonic material. Weird. It looks like the true (serrated) leaves are trapped inside!

If that's true, simply remove that embryonic matter with something long, thin, and clean, like a needle, or tooth-pick wiped with a steret (isopropyl on a cloth, etc). Do it now, and be very gentle.

Or is the small, fuzzy picture giving me the wrong idea?

Thanks for the quick response.....What you says makes complete sense, good eyes by the way. About 5 minutes after I posted this, I watered my babies and one of them opened up, the other is still stuck, but I will try what you suggested. It definately looks like a little membrane for the seed is still holding the top leaves in place. Once again thanks, I'll let you know how the surgery goes......
