leaf curl

sorry I don't have pictures, but I will try and describe everything the best that I can.

I am doing a small-scale stealth grow with a mixture of halogen and compact floro lights (around 2,500 lumens per plant). I don't know the strain, but i do know that it is an indica dominant. my PH is around 6.4, but i haven't tossed ferts to the plants yet. they are about a week into flowering and on one of the plants, its showing a slight amount of purple on the main stock at the beginning of each node. the major concern is that the leaves are curling around the edges. I fear that I might have over watered the plant, but I don't think so.

The color of the leaves are a healthy forest green. no signs of spotting or anything like that.

any ideas?

while i am at it, do you have any recommendations for nutes? I am on a budget and only have a few plants to feed.

Sometimes the stems can be red, along with red petioles that can happen when having a Phosphorus deficiency. This isn’t a sure sure sign of you having one though, but can be a sign. Some strains just show the red petioles and stems from its genes.

Phosphorus deficiency causes:
Cold wet soils, acid or very alkaline soils, compacted soil

Having Cold weather (below 50F/10C) can make phosphorous absorption very troublesome for plants.

leaf curl is generally overwatering as you already know/suspect

I use this organic ALASKA MORBLOOM (0-10-10)

leaf curl

im not saying the ganja dude is wrong but check if your lights are to close by putting your hand near your plants for 60 sec and see if your hands are hot. i had leaf curl around edges and it wasnt from over watering it was from the lights being too close! but i may be wrong? halogen lights are very hot lights even from far away and it can make your room very hot and humid

Without seeing pictures i would say its the holegen light curling the leaves, you cannot use Halogen lights to grow.

I totally skipped over the halogen lite , DierWolf is correct, you cant use those lites, and they throw off heat, so they guy's may be right could be the heat

the whole grow is temperature controlled. it stays around 75 degrees F 24 hours out of the day. forgive me, the light isn't halogen, its a philips "halogena". ( http://www.nam.lighting.philips.com/...umer/halogena/ ).

Its definitely not a heat concern. The two possibilities (from my own deduction) are that I over-watered it or i have an unknown nutrient deficiency. The potassium sounds plausible.

On one of the larger leaves i see an ever-so-slight hint of yellowing along the veins. maybe that will help shine some light on the situation.

I thank everyone for their suggestions and I am grateful for them all.

i'd ditch the halogens/halogenas, they're not for growing. you're wasting your electricity. you're in flower and you haven't fed yet? don't expect much resin production. since you haven't fed you could have a slight mag. def. you never mention which direction your leaves are curling. up prob. heat down prob. too much water.

after reading up a bit more, i think it was an over-watering issue. you are right about the lack of feed for them, but it was kind of a salvation type situation and i am having to pick up the slack. wasn't hardly prepared for the situation.

i just want a few little buds to ease a day off or two and its a good experience run having to make up for lost time
