cloning

hi there
i would like to know the best way to clon. i have do it in 2 diferents ways:
1st one is by cutting a stemp just before flowering preferable the lower stemps; then puting a women hair with the root in the tip of the stemp and the into cotton. the first pic is the clon done by thais tecnique (DSC01905).
2nd way i learn a few days a go, i did it yesturday, but do not know the outcome yet. because it was the first i did i try out in the a clon that i harvest yesturday. to see how it develops.

Your method of cloning you are doing there is called air layering. Air laying is used to clone off of trees and shrubs with woody trunks. Weed is not a woody trunked plant. To clone off of a weed plant just cut one of the lower branches with 2-5 nodes, cut it at a 45 degree angle, dip cut clone in water for 30-60 seconds, dip wet stem of clone in rooting hormone such as powder or gel and put the clone in perlite, Rockwool, or soil less clone starting mix. The medium should be kept moist and put a dome or plastic bag over the clones to keep moisture in. Open bag/dome 2 xs per day to let stale air out and fresh air in.

in my fist cloning i did it inthe way you said, but instead og using hormenes i used a women´s hair with the roots ( which are also hormones)
the second one is the air layering that you point out, i did a couple´s days ago. my question basically you ansewer, i did not know the way i was supposed to clon.

i keep the cottom wet all the time.

i am attaching two pics, the first one are the clones done by the method that u discribe i soppose to do cannabis, and the second pic is mi first clon that i just harvest couple days ago.
changing topics, what´s that about trichome´s and 48 hours before chopping?

Ivan,

I never heard of using a woman’s hair for the hormones, which is pretty interesting. So, the air layering has been successful? Best stick with the method I gave above. I think the 48 hours and trichs you are thinking about is 48 hours before harvesting your plant, keep it in total darkness for 48 hours prior to harvest. This will ripen it up and force the last of the trichs to form. By the way, nice plants and super cute puppy in your Avatar.
