Emergency! I made a mistake early germinating

Help! I made a mistake early germinating.


I have succesfully germinated some really expensive seeds ( Blueberry, and Strawberry Cough Feminized) and The spouts have hatched. Unfortuanetly my Hydro Store doesnt open until tommorrow. I'm really worried about my sprouts, as I dont have access to rockwool, or soil for that matter. What house hold items could be used for a short amount of time (less then 12 hours). Currently I have damp paper towls filled up in plastic part cups, under a 50w light. I put the seedlings roots under slight folds in the paper towl, as an attempt to simulate roots under soil. Again this is a temporary until tommorrow when i get my goods. Help me with my plants please!!!!

Thats some situation there, but to be honest with you man I'm more familiar with different germination processes. But were you wandering if you should try and keep them alive in the paper towels or wandering about a temperary subsitute for rockwool or soil. As in ''they have to be planted''. ?

seeds with the first white sprout can live quite a while in paper towel and water. up to a few weeks, i think. someone correct me if i'm wrong. i know once i germed seeds and forgot about them. one month later they were still ok, just with a huge taproot. keep it moist.

Temporary Substitute for rockwool!

I've heard of people using tampons as substitutes for rockwool. so i figured papertowls might do for a little bit

You'll be fine keeping them in the paper towel. Just be careful not to damage the root as it will be longer than normal when you do put them in soil.

ive left mine in a paper towel one time cause i forgot about them and they grew there first set of leaves and also started on second.. but it happen to be getting light to keep it growin..

are you that dumb. last time i checked their was soil outside on the ground, and it was also free.

Soil from outside needs to be sterilized if bringing it indoors because of all kinds of bugs and nasties.

hmm yeah digging it up from outside chould probo coarse you more probs in the long run. then just sitting tight for 12 hours to get a desent medium. paper towels will be fine for 12 hours. and the tampon sound good to lol. i geuss it whould swell to pretty much the right size to plant in next size up rockwools when rooted into the tampon lol. but yeah go get your medium tomorrow. dont use outdoors. bugs and allsort your bring in
