Angry possible magneiusm deficiency and ph imbalance

The older bigger bottom leaves of my trainwreck plant have turned yellow to brown and are curling up. I have added water mixed with epsom salt to the soil and it did not seem to help. I think the soil may have a pH imbalance. However I'm not really sure how to check the pH level and how I would increase it.

The plant is still growing and getting bigger and it is also leaning a bit. I dunno if this was bad but I crushed up some multivitamins from the store and mixed it with water and added it to the soil. Didnt seem to hurt it. Anyone have any ideas on what I should do?

after reading some other posts on here it might not be getting enough light and have a nitrogen deficiency. how would you add nitrogen?

how hot is it where the plant is? and how much direct sunlight is it getting? looks like its getting bleeched from heat

also are you feeding it any nutrients?
and is this plant just in the soil in the ground? did you add any additives before putting it in the hole in the ground?

in order to test the ph you would have to take a pot and dig some dirt around your plant and then water it and see what the ph is, but you wouldnt get a good accurate reading unless you water your plant and not let mother nature do it, if you dont water your plant then you will need to wait to get enough rain water to test ph with the soil you dug up aroun your plant and get a digital pen or ph test strips

is there any clay in that mixture wher your plant is planted?

I was just feeding it water. It gets direct sun starting from around 10:30 then until about 2PM.

I went to the local hydroponics shop today and got MAXSEA water soluable all purpose food. Mixed a tablespoon into a gallon and fed it. So I know it's not Magnesium deficiency because I gave it water mixed with epsom salt already.

To answer your question about clay, yes the plant was exposed to some "stucco". My neighbor ripped out the fence when it was a baby and got stucco on it. Those leaves ended up with mold. Cut them off and the plant was fine.

Fertilizer im using is miracle grow potted plantsoil mixed with chicken manure. The guy at the hydroponic shop thinks it's nitrogen deficiency and the plant food he gave me should help hopefully. What do you think?

here's a pic of it right before it got sick. It's about 3-4 feet tall (approx) now. you cant really see the fertilizer that good because of all the leaves.

The plant food was 16-16-16.

http://www.brackengardens.com/store/...Product_ID=378

1 tablespoon in a gallon of water. That's what the directions said.

You may be right on the heat thing. The last week or 2 when it got sick the temperature was over 90 degrees. Even up to the 100's. However it has cooled off lately and it's only getting into the 80's now. Still not sure what to do though.

I did try foliar feeding really early in the morning yesterday. Plant is still growing and budding new leaves so I guessed it helped a little. Plant is damn tall. Up to my hips and im a 6'2" guy.

After adding magnesium and plant food it could either be heat or just not enough sun. What you think?

could be stressed from a potassium deficiency, and the heat kicked it off
I had the same issue with one strain, try adding potassium

right now i think this is a pH imbalance more than anything else. i'll have to figure out what the pH is at.

its not potassium its not magnseium, this is not any nutrient problem, the problem is its getting to much direct radiant heat, just as if you put a HPS to close to your plant and starts to bleech it,

the damaged leaves wont recover but you will have to try to shade your plant a bit during peak high temps of the day,

you will burn your plants if you use your plant food like that

tyou want to use 1/2 teaspoon of nutrients per gallon of water, the kind your using now.
weekly, wait a week and 1/2 at least before feeding your plants again..... other wise you will burn them

OK I guess it could be heat if nothing else. I noticed that even young leaves on the bottom of the plants have this problem. But wouldnt heat burn be on top of the plants not on the bottom?
