Yellowing of Lower Fan Leaves

  1. Hello All-

    Stats.

    2.1 ft.
8" Pot - Water Miracle Grow - Moisture Control
The lowest pair of fan leaves started to yellow. The rest of the plant seems to be doing fine. Should I bother transplanting at this stage? THe plant has been in flowering for nearly a week and a half?

  2. Using Flourex 6165 bulb, with 2 other flouros directing onto the plant. Any ideas on how the yellowing of the lowest leaves? I noticed a few nats flying around the plant ( it is indoors) but, ive killed them.

  3. Oh,

No fertilizer has been added at all. And, watering has been whenever the 1-2" soil has been dry.

  4. You need to give it fertilizer, if it's 2 ft tall, it needs it.

  5. If you want, you can transplant into better soil. Anything with "moisture control" is no good. If you have not fertilized yet than it is long past time to do so. If I were you I would give them a high in N fertilizer to get them through flowering. Then on the next fertilizing after that, switch them to your flowering fertilizer. Good luck.

  6. Root bound. I promise you. Been there done that 3 -4 times. Need deeper pot.

  7. I would also say they are root bound. been there a few times myself.

  8. Agreed.
8" pot is not big enough for a 2 foot tall plant.
