We'll im in a predicament

I've been working with this girl for like 4 months

And ever since the day I met her I was instantly attracted and wanted to get to know her

Well.. My co-worker beat me to it and started a thing with her.

He likes her quite a bit and says that she secretly likes him too.

Well.. He could be straight up bullshitting but they're definently friends but idk how close

- Fast forward to recent days -

He told her that he likes her and she turned him down, he told me that its because she "secretly likes him still and its w.e"

We'll me and her have always been able to laugh and smile at eachothers stupid jokes and get really engaged in pointless conversation

Everytime i talk to her I just wanna say lets go smoke and hang out or something but I just pussy out because the co-worker jumps in.

Nobody knows that I like her. (possibly her lols.. Wish/hope she feels the same about me)

Its risky for sure because I have to see her almost everyday and it would be awkward if she turns me down and obv the co-worker that I talk to everyday would be pissed because he has a thing for her too.

Ask her to chill even though she has an on again off again boyfriend and my "friend" chasing after her?

Its getting to the point where I just want to sit down with her and tell her how I feel but im afraid of the outcome

Yeeah its like every time we get deep into conversation just smiling at eachother on break together with that puppy love eye contact I hear that little bitch voice. "Taylooooor.. What are you doin? And sits down next to us" This happens almost everytime. I used to sit there and have a conversation with them but he is just an overconfident douche when he is around her.. "why are you doing that? Ohhhh myy gawd! If I wasnt here you and zach wouldnt get shit done *annoying ass laugh with a smile that looks like he just got his first boner

You know what needs to be done, you are just scared shitless to do it. Most guys these days seem to be. The one thing that will ALWAYS land you a woman is confidence, and you sir, have none. NONE.
