Wasn't a yes or no but I asked if she wanted to go out to dinner this weekend Friday night or Saturday night and she was said "like on a date?" so I replied "yeah something like that." She was like maybe, I haven't had a social life in awhile but I'm busy tonight and tomorrow I'm probably going to be sleeping the whole day. But we both have each others numbers lets keep in contact after this class ends." Do I still have my foot in the door or this pretty much a no?

From my experience a "mabye" means no they just don't want to hurt your feelings. But we all know deep down they do that to torture you, sorry man it's a no.

What you wrote seems to be true in most cases but not sure if you read it fully correct this was one quote she said

Thanks. It actually happened when we were walking out of the school into the huge parking lot and she was parked on the other side but kept walking and talking to me as I walked to my car.

I witnessed this the other day and just started giggling when the girl in the desk next to me said "maybe." I could tell she wasn't interested. her answer seems flake. honestly that was a typical answer to the way you asked the question if you look at it. Im not sure how much you know this chick but dinner really isnt a great first hangout activity. Also invite her to "tag" along next time
