Current Free Seeds From Seeds Direct?

I noticed what I presume is a trend in reading peoples posts when ordering from seed banks who ship with afew free seeds thrown in -- they seem to usually use the same free seeds for a set period of time for all orders. Is this true?

So, the question, for those who have ordered recently from Seeds Direct is: What free seeds did you get?

p.s. Anyone know how long it's been taking to get orders to the U.S. from them lately after sending in cash order? Obviously, I am antsy

Hi there,

If you entered the order through our shopping cart, you can indicate your freebie preference in the comments section. (I know we don't advertise that)

Every order will get:

Now, our first round of freebies is unlike anything you're apt to find anywhere else, at any price. In fact, to be honest, these ain't no waltzing Matilda debutante's cotillion fuzzy little cuddle bunny kinda freebie seeds - nosireebob! Nope, these here are more like yer Rambo First Blood Demolition Man Last Action Hero genuine captain kick-ass Koh Chang Thai Landrace Sativa freebies!

Gene Barker and I just picked up the latest batch of these wonderful seeds from Big Koh Chang island just three weeks ago. (Which is a helluva story on in itself, and one I'll post here once I get the few remaining pictures from our trip organized.) These puppies will flower in about 9 to 10 weeks, and are one of the easiest sativa's to germ and grow out. You're gonna need a bit of headroom with these babies, or spend a bit of time tying them down, but the resulting bud will be well worth the time and effort. I discovered this strain about 4 years ago while visiting Thailand, and now it's the one I smoke most often when I visit there. A very uplifting smoke, it's perfect for those idyllic days when you want to be active and keep your wits about you when you have a toke.

Now, the Current Freebies list:

Our packing department will randomly pick a package of one of the following of our 'Special Treats' strains of cannabis as a bonus for anyone placing an order over $75. All strains come from our own breeding projects, and aren't available anywhere else, at any price. Each pack contain six seeds per package, and these are the strains that we're currently offering as our 'Special Treats':
  • Afghani X Northern Lights - This is a classic couch-lock short statured indica strain, with a lemony-citrus taste, and flowers in 56 to 60 days.
  • Afghani X Moroccan - Yer gonna need some carbon filters for this hashy smelling one. Medium statured, it flowers in 8 weeks. Did I mention it smells like hash?
  • California Orange Bud - Our version and one of my favourites, this strain lives up to its name, both in appearance with its bright orange hairs, and in taste, with a subtle orange armoma and flavour. Middle height, this indica dominant strain flowers in 52 to 56 days.
  • Northern Lights X White Widow X Northern Lights - White Widow crossed with Northern Lights, then back-crossed again with Northern Lights, in an attempt to tame the wild widow. If you're looking for something that leans towards the white strains, but much easier to cultivate, this 8 to 9 week flowering gem is for you.
  • Maui Wowie - The original indica dominant, short statured, fast flowering product of Hawaii. Yields aren't fantastic per plant (it's best suited to a dense, Sea of Green type grow), but the flavour is certainly fantastic, and it's a great addition to anyones stash. Flowering time is 65 to 70 days, and this strain isn't recommended for first time growers.
  • Misty X Mango - Homegrown Fantaseeds Original Misty, crossed with KC Brains Mango. Can't possibly go wrong there, eh. This is a relatively short plant, perfect for cramped spaces. 8 to 9 weeks flowering time.
  • Jack Herer X Northern Lights - With a flowering time of 85 to 90 days, this isn't for the impatient grower, at all. But, for those with patience, the pay-off is fantastic. Not for first time growers, or for grows with limited head room.
  • Mango X Skunk - This is another Mango cross, but using the now-discontinued Mango from Homegrown Fantaseeds, not KC Brains version. Its got an 8 week photoperiod, and the Mango is the dominant influence, with a Skunk kick to the smell. Our plan is to cross it in the future with some Haze varieties to try and tame them a bit, and if you're into making seeds, you should consider doing the same.
  • Pure Power Plant - This is our version of Pure Power Plant, and I've sent out 30 or 40 packs of 'em in the last nine months, and it lives up to its name. The heavy sativa influence is belied by its 60 to 65 day flowering time. This puppy is a producer.
  • Plural of Skunk - Anyone that's doing any breeding at all ends up working with some Skunk lines, and we're no different. This is a work in progress, and not a stable line. These are third generation F3 progeny of a Skunk #1 father and a Super Skunk mother, and exhibit 2 distinct phenotypes. If yer looking for a great producing Skunk based clone mother, you're gonna want to be growing some of these out. 60 days flowering time, and a carbon scrubber is recommended. (10 seeds in these packages)
  • Route 66. It's C99 X NL, which was then back-crossed 4 times with its' C99 mother. This C99 X NL backcrossed 4 times with Cindy is a pretty fantastic smoke, flowers in 53-55 days.
If you mailed a printed form or forgot to indicate a preference, it may not too late.

If you haven't received a shipping notice via email yet and your order qualified for one of the special treats, you can email your freebie preference to info@seedsdirect.to and please use the email account you specified with your order also please reference your shipping address city/town.

Hope that helps.

Gene

My order didn't qualify for a special, but thanks so much for the info! I did ask in the comment section of my order for an outdoor sativa freebie if it was possible, and that strain you quoted, if it's still the one being sent, sounds brilliant! Cheers!

Sorry, I forgot about your round-trip time question

Each leg of the journey seems to be taking 4-10 days. Average time is almost exactly 2 weeks.

Cheers,

Gene
