Big C, Is there anything you can think of why 5 did not sprout? That's pretty disappointing and if that type of thing occured often with their seeds or just with HG seeds we would probably have heard about it. But it concerns me because I am about to order HG from greenhouse.

Dont let me put you off bying GH Seeds but I also bought Dutch Passion Blueberry & Cali Orange at the same time.
Most of the DP seeds were fine (with the exception of the Blueberry which showed signs of hermi.) Cant say what I did wrong. I put them in a glass of water ( I do that with all my seeds) I will say they did spilt but didnt break the soil when I planted them. Hope that helped virginharvester PS Watching the videos they have on Youtube, they really seem to know their stuff so I would say it might/probably have been me and not the seeds. GH Seeds White Rhino Grow Guide (In case your interested) Thay have other videos as well. http://youtube.com/watch?v=udQbMhIcXUE |

Yeah Big C but in those videos they don't tell you whether or not they started from regular or fem'd seeds. More than likely was regular, stable seeds.
I just wish I knew if regular seeds hemie and how often compared to fem'd seeds. If I could start 3 regular seeds is a pot and end up with one female 90% of the time I would take that risk. But it sounds like you can start 5 regular seeds and end up with no females. Or, that you can start with fem'd seeds and everything look good for a while til one hermies... But I don't know what that percentage is either so it's just difficult to weigh it out... I'm growing outdoors away from my house so I don't have easy access to inspect the plants. |
