difference between in/out door?

is there really a difference between indoor and outdoor strains? are they strickly for their environments because there are some indoors that i would like to grow, but i'm purely an outdoor grower.
-thanks

i believe that the indoor strains (northern lights, white widow, etc.) were bred specifically to grow better indoors as the outdoor strains need as "real" sunlight as possible. i think it has something to do with how they worked the genetics to accept artificial light more willingly and pull what they need out of the available light more easily. you can try it, i mean the sun is after all the best light for any plant.

Its more like the indoor variety are breed to be short and bushy to take advantage of the indoor environment(limited height and light). However, the indoor strain will grow quit nicely outdoors. Check out spanishfly's 4 1/2 pound yield on white widow.

Zero Difference...

I grow indoor plants both indoor and outdoor and the ones i put outdoor grow just as good if not better outdoors than indoors.

Same visa Versa.

yes... i've always operated under the premise that ANYTHING will grow outdoors (unless you live in the arctic circle) but strains that are outdoor specific won't always fare as well indoors. giant sativas in particular aren't the best choices for indoor closet grows, but compact indicas have more than enough surface areas on their leaves to capture sunlight anywheres outdoors.

please do correct me if i'm mistaken. i've ignored almost everything i've ever read about indicas because i despise them with every fiber of my being.
