Smoking weed and Mushrooms..

Ok, here's the deal. We've all read that smoking shrooms doesn't work for this reason:


Due to the thermal breakdown of Psilocybin, mushrooms should never be dried with heat. Also, there have been continued discrepencies in fresh mushroom trips vs. dry mushroom trips, even if the shrooms have been dried without heat. The trip differences may be due to mental preconception or it may be a molecular change over time, who knows.

Also due to the thermal breakdown of Psilocybin, smoking mushrooms does not work. Making tea, however, does work;





However I have an 1/8 of shrooms kickin around and decided to give it a try after reading these 2 sites.

So I chopped some up fine, mixed it in with the bud that I've been smoking for the last week (Semi decent nothing Super)... And I gotta tell ya, I'm pretty phucked up right now. I've been smoking so long that I dunno, I never really get "STONED" anymore. But this is working.


Just a heads up, tastes like shit but it works IMO....

I just ground up a half of cap, and filled the rest with fresh chopped bud (figure 2-3 good hits of weed in a typical bowl). Smoked the entire bowl..

Pretty good IMO.

Oh yeah, I forgot to describe the high....

No trippy visuals, just a more intesnse high then what I should be getting from this weed. MAd cotton mouth!

Damn dude, props for getting blazed off that shit man. i heard that psilcoybin (sp?) burns away at like 200 something degrees and that if you tried to smoke it then the psilcoybin wouldn't take effect because of the heat.

Im not 100% sure though because i havnt really read up much on shroomies. Happy toking man.

I'm gonna have to agree. I've tried it myself. I can't really explain it, but the high does feel different than just smoking bud. It does taste like shit though. And of course there are no visuals or anything like that. Does it work? Yeah. Is is worth it? No. I'd rather just burn, eat the shrooms, and burn some more. Now that's how ya get fucked up!

UHhh....The whole point in smoking things is that they break down in to smoke and you inhail them and your lungs absorb them. That what I thought.

P.S. I have tryed smokeing mushroom and it dosent work so you do have a good point but im just pointing out that that sounds wierd, ya know?

Yes, but the heat destroys the psilocybin befor it evaporates.

Shroom tea is great, I make it every once in a while too. I concur that smoking shrooms is a waste and probably god awful for your lungs, I don't remember anything specific, but someone on here posted about how smoking fungi would be bad for your lungs. Who knows. Did it once and nothing happened except me kicking myself.

yes... shrooms break down when exposed to heat. that's why you're supposed to put "blue honey" in the fridge.

just eat yummy fresh shrooms for the euphoria and smoke a trippy sativa for the visuals... better yet, start smoking first so the shrooms taste even better.
