dunno what country that is that you cant be searched for probable cause.

in most countrys if the cop says he saw or could smell cannabis that is enough for a search to take place.

'reasonable grounds', if they lie and say they can smell it when there is no way they can, contest it in court.

its just luck i guess, some cops have no probs with weed and others are real cunts about it.

if its the US than they cant search for probable cause. Maybe you think they can just because they freaking try to get you to consent to a search and seizure as hard as they can. They play mind games and shit. Just remember a few key phrases whenever dealing with the cops: " Can I talk to my lawyer?"

When he unhanded me I said, "you're whats wrong with cops in our country, you violate me and my rights, threaten me with violence and show me no respect. you're a disgrace". then he threatened me with civil disobedience ( i guess thats what they call free speech nowadays). and took his leave.

Yeah the 4th amendment is for illegal search and seizure. The 5th is the right to not testify against yourself and not being able to be convicted of the same crime twice.

I am on the cops' side here. You were walking down the street blantantly breaking the law. You knew what you were doing was illegal. The cops were only doing their job, but you decided to be a smartass instead of talking to them with respect. Then, on top of it, you ran. OF COURSE THEY FUCKING CUFFED YOU. You just proved that they couldn't trust you to stay put; they had every reason to restrain you.

You had a couple options.

A) Get arrested for posession of marijuana.

B) Tell the cops it's a cigarette.

C) Eat the joint to dispose the evidence.

D) Run like hell and get arrested.

Now which one do you think is the smartest decision? Next time you should think about the consequences before you do something.

Never physically resist arrest. That includes running away from the cops.

Well Feanor, I kinda disagree. Easily he's in Western Europe and they aren't normally such dicks about that kind of thing. I've talked to a lot of people about how the cops normally will make you throw the joint away and let you go about your business. I only have experience in France. We were walking down the street and a guy was smoking on a corner. I bummed a hit...

CB, That totally sucks that it happened. I was shocked when I read your story. Just be glad you weren't in the US... It would be much worse as you can see in the other stories. That is why I normally only smoke at home.

Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
