A bored insomniac presents: Homebrewed 'PowerPen'

Alright...so I got bored tonight and left my new spoon in a friend's room across campus so I got bored and decided to spice up my metal pen oney...which i'm sure we're all familiar with. The results were amazing w/o too much work. I found one of those really crappy Papermate plastic pens. The kind where the back of them isn't a plug you can pull out...it's just some molded plastic with small holes in it. I had a translucent blue one and i pull out/broke off the tip you write with and pulled out the ink cartrige. Took an empty Powerade bottle and pushed a hole through it about 1/3rd of the way up with a tiny screwdriver. then I took a larger screwdriver and opened to hole a bit so the pen stem fit tightly. Made another large hole on the opposite side of the bottle about 2" higher than the first to use as a carb. Wrapped some druck tape around the stem where it fit through the bottle and made a raised ring about a 1/4" from the end sticking up. The stem was inserted so that the end of the pen you didn't write with was at the bottom of the Powerade bottle. Those small holes in the end work as a ghetto diffuser. (You get 3 small streams of smoke instead of one large one) Then I poured some cold water in up to a good level (use your own judgement) packed the metal pen oney and the slide it onto the pen stem and pushed it into the raised tape to make a good seal and ripped it. That pen was one of the hottest smokes I've ever had and this thing gave you one good sized dense but quite cool hit. I threw it in the fridge and I'm about to go for it once i'm done posting this. Hahahah bro that is hilarious. I use to make those kinda bongs allll the time since smoking in the 9th grade. Yours looks great, but be careful for burning plastic and even the metal can melt. Sometimes the "metal" tips aren't metal at all, but plastic made to look like metal. I learned the hard way and got a lung full of plastic, and a bowl of kush encrusted in melted plastic... gross.

Yeah...did that once...possibly the worst tasting smoke i've ever inhaled. Nah, the Zebra brand nice pens are all metal. While it is nicer IMO to have a real glass smoking device; the homemade stuff can surprise you. The ghetto diffuser works well to help cool it and I can't tell how good my hit was without looking until i see how much i exhale....
