Dying Buds

Ok so there is always all this hype about purp being died is it or isnt it, well how in the first place would i go about dying bud? Dont worry i am not trying to rip anyone off i just was going to experiment and see whta happens if i died a nug, will it make it taste any different or loose potencvy or anything?


-So how would i go about dying buds purple?

-Also can i die them another color like Yellow or Gold or Orange?

dying buds? what the fuck....they get purple on them cuz of cool temps when growing i do believe......

but if u really wanna make ur shitty weed look good, try using something like toxic paint or something and then smoke it, good luck!

Well actully, from what I hear, you can freeze your freshly cut buds and they will come out purple, I don't know if thats true or not.

i highly highly doubt that,

you need to dry your fresh cut buds, nothing else...

Mrghozt is correct. I can tell you from DECADES of experience that it is indeed temperature variations that causes the pigmentation to change purple. Some strains exhibit this trait all the time.

The best way to go about it I would imagine. Would be... uhh maybe food coloring mixed with a bit of water? Or some natural dye.

It is a common occurance of dyeing bud purple. And I am sure he like many of you would think it would be kewl to do and he actually took iniative to post and look into it out of curiosity.

There is no way anyone would buy buds that have been dyed, that is adding additional chemicals to burn and coat your lungs. That is honestly the stupidest thing I have ever heard to dye your buds. This is one of those dumb stoner things that everyone believes because "their best friend who is a SUPER STONER EXPERT!!!11111oneone111!!!" told them it was true. The truth is, most plants react to lower temps by turning a darker color to absorb more heat, that color is purple. This can be seen in MANY other plants and is nature's natural reaction, but like I said before, some strains exhibit the trait more than others.

Bright purple buds like that can be bought at any dispensary here in Cali, I know because I am a frequent customer at my local one. We are known for our purple strains and have an endless list of them. Probably a new one every 2 months...

that is the thread that made me want to doit.... i wasnt sure if it would even work and no one seems to know for sure...... its not really cause i want to see it its just cuz i want to know how the hell that bud is purple cuz it dont look right...

so I have seen a post...it was at are highly remember overgrow...a guy experimented on adding coloring into the water system with reds,purps,blues. IT DIDN"T WORK

I don't know exactly what this thread is about...dyed but are gay needless to say if people are actually doing it... I myself have PERSONALLY seen all purple bud throught the flowering stage...even leaves, and sometimes no GREEN at all. It's purely in the genetics...otherwise when you bought purple strains they would say add LALALA to it to make ur pot turn purple.

BTW... I have a FRESH marijuana picture I will be posting soon I want you to tell me exactly what you think it will look like dried..bc all you will be able to say is PURPLE...even if they leave the small leafs! I will get it soon and post it just to show what this crazy shit I am talking about it!
