This tells me that bongs are a waste of money and are only good for taking less harsh of hits if you have to money to spend on more weed.........

bongs are god's gift to man. they may lower than THC %, but only in a small insignificant amount. They allow you to take the biggest hits in your life, and last time i checked, the bigger the hit, the higher you are. They cool the smoke, amplify the amount of smoke you can take, they filter out several impurities including a decent amount of tar, and they look cool as hell. So BONGS ARE NOT A WASTE OF MONEY AND THEY HELP MORE THAN THEY HURT.

bongs are infinately less wasteful than joints or blunts. obviously the person who started this thread has never hit a bong, so they rely on what they read, not firsthand knowledge. THC is not water soluable, so you aren't losing anything because of the water, which is what makes a bong what it is. you can extinguish the bong afer a hit, so you don't waste any smoke, but you cannot do that on a joint or blunt.

if you guys dont understand how a bong works thats your problem.
that is fact.
it cools down the smoke to a point to were you can inhale a lot more smoke. the THC level that is lost is not compareable to the amount of smoke you get.
if your worried about how much THC you have in you. just Vape or bake.

The majority of you probably use cold or room temp water either of which will easily strip thc in the cooling process

and bongs definitely lower tar, you may not notice as much if you use ice cold water, but if you use lukewarm water, a lot of tar and shit is in the water after you smoke

no thc is left in the water, none, thc is not water soluble, plus the thc is in the water for like a second it wont transform into solid or liquid, it will remain gas, which will be inhaled

I love ripping bongs, but I don't believe for a second that the water filtration is making any significant difference in the amount of tar/impurities I am inhaling along with the smoke. In fact, I would say bongs are unhealthy, in that your filling your lungs with a truly absurd amount of smoke... If you care about your lungs use a vaporizer. Vaporizer's are the only health-concious way to get high (besides for ingesting weed) as far as I am concerned. Water filtration is not really a filter, more of just a heatsink.

Oh yes gee whoda thunk the quality of melted sand has everything to do with the level of thc...

The glass makes little difference the surface area and temp do you're losing tons of tar and thc using any sort of large water filtered pipe

You can think whatever you want the thermal transfer surface tension and overall size of a bong make for waste :P
