its not a lot. thats what your not understanding. its maybe 0.1g. one tenth of a gram. how is that more than smoking, for instance, a joint (most i see are at least .3g's) or dry piece (almost everyone i ever see pack a dry packs the bowl to the brim)? sure, you CAN pack more, but the point of snaps is to keep them just enough to get a full hit, not more, not less. everything is burned, nothing is wasted.

thats not my point. what i am trying to say is that when people smoke bongs they smoke a lot more than that, not just equivalent to a joint amount..


they smoke a few snaps in a sess, but only like one joint in a sess .... whatever, i guess it doesnt matter.

A .1 snap doesn't sound like a full hit to me, i usually do around .4-.6 per rip and clear, hold it in, get a fat head rush and enjoy


edit: i know not everyone packs snaps this big, but i really like a thick creamy hit and saying bongs dont get you as high is rediculous

any picture i personally took there of me milking a tube is no more than .2g's. i usually take out .3-.4 for a session, and get 3 or 4, sometimes 5 hits. fully milking even my 24in tube.

that bowl pictured cannot hold more than .15g's. the push isnt big enough.

for yourself or a group? i know plenty of people who do that for a session, but usually some dick lights the whole top and then everyone after him is smoking nasty burnt ash. leave some green for the next person. (dont get me wrong, im not saying you do, i just know people that do)

if you're saying you do a 1 gram hit all at once, id be very skeptical. ive seen it done, but not by anyone regularly.

I thoroughly agree. Bongs get me higher with less weed than any other smoking apparatus ever has...& I've been a toker since the mid-60s.

I too am a bongin fanatic...I still have my 1st (all wooden dry-bong) from the early 70's...today I use my graffix all glass...I think I use more weed in the bong than if I use a 1-hit pipe, but only because I do huge hits in the bong...if I'm real disciplined and keep the 1-hit size similar, the bong gives a harder hit I think...

and as for voporizing, I love it too, a good way to go I think and Santa is on his way right now with one for me...

fact of the matter is, almost every method of smoking is wasteful...except vaporising


bongs are alot less wasteful than joints n blunts (as in thc inhaled per gram) coz u get all the smoke in and very little goes up off the bowl..whereas with joints theyre always burning even if ur not dragging on em.....so ur sharing ur smoke with the rest of the world...

and because THC isnt soluble in water....very little goes into the water....in fact, you should be more worried about it sticking to the inside of your glass as resin than how much goes into the water....

so you where a bong is wasteful....its less wasteful than most other things youll smoke out of....

ah and youre wasting your weed but not holding ur breath for like 30 seconds......so almost every stoner wastes their weed by exhaling too soon..... even if ur using a vaporiser

its not a perfect science........ i dont usually hold my breath more than 15 seconds anyway..so there you go

Studies done in Australia indicate that 95% of the THC in cannabis is absorbed in the first few seconds of inhaling. Holding in the smoke longer just allows more tar and other noxious chemicals to be absorbed. Take small, shallow puffs rather than deep inhalations.
