IMO, blunts are generally very gross and a waste of bud. Only time I'll smoke a blunt is if it's .5 or smaller, otherwise they get nasty.

Bongs filter out THC yet get a lot of people higher than normal. How is that a waste of money again?

The only way it would be a waste of money is if you didn't get as high off of the same amount- which varies from person to person.

Blanket statement with no personal experience or knowledge taken into account.

Until they test human beings then they can only claim that bongs filter out THC and nothing more. Saying that equals waste of money is pure speculation and this thread is 100% proof.

Erowid has been proven actually wrong by many members in this thread who enjoy their bongs. It's not a waste of money... It's an investment to some!

People shouldn't just assume about things without testing the theory first because these sort of arguments happen.

The theory is incorrect if only one person gets higher off the bong, and a lot more than that do. Standing by this after it has been proven wrong shows you don't even know it's been proven wrong.

Your lungs will absorb THC a lot like oxygen. When you aren't as high more is absorbed as when you are high. The reason is because your air sacks in your lungs are like sponges. The drier they are, the more they will absorb.

You don't need to hold a larger hit in longer to absorb all the THC- it's like taking a huge breath of air when you have been holding it. It doesn't take an increased amount of time to absorb the many times more air volume. The surface area in your lungs is incredible. Maybe if you were already stoned you would have to hold the hits in,(and you're already stoned... What's the point) but not if you aren't. Your lungs will absorb the THC really fast like your lungs absorb oxygen really fast when they need it. It's not as serious (necesarry) as oxygen but along the same lines. Sometimes people (like me) smoke just to smoke. When that's the case you are only smoking for the taste and experience of smoking, so what is the point in talking efficiency when it's more of a waste in terms of medicine and becomes more entertainment.

When it's about entertainment efficiency really doesn't have to be a factor, especially when you are just smoking to smoke.

Your lungs are like sponges, the more bad shit and gases in the smoke the less the lungs are able to absorb THC. That's why vaporizers are so effective.

More THC in the smoke will also cause the THC to be absorbed faster than less concentrations. It's a membrane that is a lot like a box with holes in it. You put less water in the box the water will come out with less force than if you put more water in. When the box dries out it starts to make more holes because it knows it needs to absorb as fast as it can.

Some prefer their high to come on slower and steadier than others which they attribute to being better, along with the high lasting longer. Still the bong smokers are the exact opposite, so this means there is no best way or most efficient way for all. We are all different and like getting high differently.

I think you're right.

Think of how nasty bong water is...whatever it's taking out is not a problem to me.


And anyone saying a noticable amount of THC is lost in bongs is, IMO, ill-informed on the subject.

Water just catches plant matter and cools the smoke.
So if THC isn't water soluble the thc isn't going to be in the water.
Everyone knows that if you drink bong water you're a dumbass.
If the water contained that much THC why would we make an idiot noob drink the water?

Mm, but indeed, THC is water soluble although not very. Regardless, it takes enough THC out to make it so that you get a bit less THC out of the same amount of weed. BUT, the thing is, with bongs, since the smoke is so cooled and less harsh, one can take much larger hits than from a normal dry piece or any roll. And that's why I think that bongs give for more intense highs, but are more short lived as opposed to the highs from js which are more relaxed and longer lasting.

It is true, but remember that you can take much bigger off bongs which is how they fuck you up with a more intense high despite getting less THC in.
