If you take hits deeper, you take the smoke deeper into the lungs and the thc is absord better when its deeper in the lungs, right? I'm not sure though, just thats what I've always heard... but with a bong you have a lot of smoke and you have to " take it to the head" :-D so if you absord more thc when you take deeper hits wouldnt it get you higher just because with bongs you take a lot plus inhale deep... I just hit my home made bong twice... it isnt quite as good as a glass one... but it has percs and a diffuser and two hits offf it gets me higher than smoking a joint would... but thats just me, and joints dont really get me all that high. Anyone else has that prob?

Wow, I'm amazed yet again that people are still discussing this.

My final conclusion really is; I don't smoke JUST to get high... I smoke because I enjoy the community, because I enjoy the taste of the plant, because I enjoy the variety of ways we get to smoke it... and many more things. But, I attempt to get all major smoking methods in, during a week at the most... and bongs will not ever leave that rotation. I'm not going to shun such beautiful works of art, just because some people are getting a little to picky over their THC :P

The THC may not get me as high, if I'm using my bong... but the joy watching that puffy white smoke floating up a perfectly cleaned top tube, gets me all the higher

I don't see why there's even any point to this thread, because from how many people have said they still get equally high or higher, I think that would kind of have to imply that even IF some THC is lost in the bong smoking process, it must be fairly minimal. I can't imagine that many people are suffering from the placebo effect. And even then... really guys, isn't there more to smoking than having the most THC in your smoke, or getting "wasted?"

Bongs are the most efficient methed cuzz u clear a bowl in 1 hit all the thc in at once instead of mutiple hits losing thc threw side stream smoke from pipes and joints and blunts... yeah maybe bong lowers the thc slightley lower but so does pipes and blunts and joints... u lose more thc threw a bowl lighting it all the time then a bong..and u lose way more thc threw joints and blunts cuzz there always burning away.....

bong smoke isnt more potent in any way shape or form. But you can take a much larger hit from it than you can with a bowl thats for sure.

anyway i thought the point was, the bong may technically lose more thc as thc does have SOME water soluability, but since the hit is so much larger, it compensates for that. because i know personally a bong is one of the more efficient uses of my weed....

Statements like that are almost always exaggerated. The amount of THC that is lost in a bong is microscopic and is unnoticed to the human body. I know that i get more fucked up from a bong then anything else, the water filtration makes it easier to hold in longer and get more out of the smoke.

And there just so much more fun.
