The Syrup Hit.

The near-to-last hit of the bowl. Everytime I smoke no matter what piece I smoke out of. Mind you it has to be a piece. You can't get a syrup hit off a joint or a blunt. But every time, the hit before the 1 and 1/2s hit left in the bowl I get a very distinct sweet taste in my mouth. It's a lot like syrup and molasses mixed together. But its definitley syrup.

I'm curious to see if I'm the only one. I've never seen a thread about it here so I figured what the hell.

Negatory. This hit doesn't taste like ass at all. That's the point, it tastes like syrup. The ass hit is the final hit of the bowl, or if you go overboard on the final hit. That's when you get the ass hit. The syrup hit is like the final call before the ass hit.

I definetely like greens better than anything thing else, to me the last hit tastes like green gone to shit.

Edit: I just thought of something. I do get sweet tasting hits when I use flavored water. Have you ever had any flavored water in your pieces?

that happens to me when ashes pull through from really good bud. they dissolve on ur tongue and are sweet/sour... i dont like it though, cause its ashes.

No I don't use flavored water. All natural ftw. And the syrup hit can't be ashes dissolving on my tongue because the ashes get caught in the bong water. I'm hard pressed to believe that no one else here has had a similar experience. Someone man up and get their ass up here and back me up because I know I'm not the only one.

I do know the taste to which you refer, though I don't know if I'd classify it as syrup. Since by that hit you're burning all ash, but its not the ass hit there sometimes is a little sweet taste, but its not as strong for me as you describe it.

if im smokin a bowl personally then i know exactly what your talkin bout,

The last decent tasting hit before the ash hit.

Normally the top bud will be burnt but the bottom bud still has some green and its the last of the green burning away.

I dont really cherish these hits as much as fresh bowl sparks but they are a nice part of smoking anyway.


but when i smoke with friends they smoke till there is nothing but white ashes

then snap the ashes through too. so i take note of the "syrup" hit as my last
hit on a given rotation.

I don't smoke pieces so I dunno what you are talkin about - I thought this thread was about filling your bong with Maple Syrup or something. That'd be pretty funky. Quick, someone try it. Maybe coconut syrup.
