i havnt had anything like that come at the end of a bowl, its usually some nasty ash leftovers, i love the freshies the most (1st hit)

Yo Lexus I know EXACTLY what the fuck you're talking about and I always taste it at about the same time as you, near the end of teh bowl. I thought it was just me.

I have never had this happen. But, I think what might cause this would be the flavor of the weed. For instance, if the bud had a sweet flavor the resin would be "sweet" thus a hit of resinated herb would be very sweet as well. How good was the bud you guys were smokin?
