Dreaming vs. Living

Hey guys,

lately I have been looking forward to my dreams. They're amazing, and lately, I can recall the places I have been in them, and it makes me happy. Everybody dreams of amazing words, worlds so amazing that only they can comprehend them. In dreams, there are only temporary problems, and there are no limits. Life is so repetitive, and dreams balence that out. To tell you the truth, if I could, I'd rather dream 24/7, than live in this terribly boring, repetitve, selfish, and un-free world. Is this depression, because i feel like it is.

If you guys could, would you stay the way you are, or live in the dream world forever?

dreaming 24/7 would be cool if you knew that you were dreaming, therefore you could do anything you wanted!

but i still wanna live this life! cause there is so much left for me to see!!

I love dreaming so much, most of my dreams are quite strange and fun, and i wake up wishing i could stay asleep. I even get to smoke in my dreams, or find some large quantity of ganja, plus there are some very surreal things that happen aswell.
If only we could dream all the time!

Edit:

Last nights dream, London was nuked, me and my family escaped on some monorail train that travelled for thousands of miles to a replica city of London. There i had race with some boy who stole my bag of ganja, and ended up running round much of the city without getting tired. Was very fun.

Yes, I look forward to dreaming.. its the shit.. I get fucked up in my dreams and have the most intesne body buzzes ever.. its real strange.. I Remember the body buzzes when I wake up in the morning and just how intense they were.. but to say I'd rather live in a dream world would be as ficticious as the thought itself..

Dreaming is great...........but it is only good for the 12 or so hours u do it..........it is something to look forward to at the end of a day..........during the day u can accomplish something great in reality........but then you get into the debate what is reality and shit like that.........a dreamworld would be ideal to live in but would not get you anywhere............

My dreams are amazing, but I love where I am in life and wouldn't want to trade it for any of my dreams.

I don't think it's depression, everyone has those times. There are always highs and lows, the lows really suck, but if we didn't have them we wouldn't realize how good the highs are.

dreamings fun and all but i'd rather live my life to the fullest while i can. there will come a day when all of us will be in a dream world, but till then enjoy life as much as you can.
and about depression: everyone i know has been depressed in thier life, i think it would be nearly impossible to find someone who hasnt been depressed at some point. just look around yourself, when you're depressed the best way to get out of it is to take a look at yourself and figure out who you really are. some people use drugs to help, some use religion, some meditation, ect. don't want to get all philispohical on anyone, but hey thought i'd just throw that out there

You only dream for like a third of the night durring you REM sleep, i studied dreams in psychology...it was really interesting. basicly they mean nothing. freud was wrong, you cant interpret your dreams, certain things dont mean certain things...dreams incorporate what you experienced durring your day into a random flow of information which you brain trys to interpret or make sense out of, it can involve past experiences and events but is really totaly random. you can have some freaky dreams and some awesome ones, i try and remember and keep track of my dreams now.

what if being in a coma is like one giant dream? dont pull the plug on me, it could be awesome.

i would like to be able to remember all my dreams... i usually cant or can only remember bits and pices... i would rather dream more often tehn i do now, burt not 24/7. mabey like 12 hours a day... half the time.

Dreaming is awesome, but lucid dreaming is even better. Because once you have realized you are dreaming in your dream, you can do whatever you please (if you dont wake up or lose lucidity) such as fly, talk to other characters in your dream and ask them questions (which are answered by your subconscious), find some mad herb (i seem to dream about havings lots of pot, even non-lucid dreams) which sucks because ill wake up and be like "Woo im gonna chief on that QP I had last night...oh fuck..that was a dream..im dry

". But living in a constant dream world would be quite nice..

I think it would be cool to hybernate for about a month, then go about 2 or 3 months without sleeping. That would be sweet. Especially if everything was open 24 hours a day. So I could go to the mall at 3 in the morning, and shit like that. My dreams are really cool, I keep incorporating my alarm clock into my dream though. I woke up today, and it had been going off for 45 minutes, and I never heard it. sucked..I was late for work. I wouldn't want to be dreaming all the time, what about the stuff you haven't done yet? You can imagine having sex with the hot chick at the tanning salon...but it's a lot more fun in real life

yeah man, lucid dreaming is awesome...it reminds me of being on mushrooms.

when u wake up in ur dream and u know ur in it true that u can mess with stuff and talk to things but it doesn't always goto plan like man idk its crazy stuff
