Feeeling better sober?

This does NOT relate at all to the 'quit pot and change your life' thread on this page.

But i took a break for over a week and just started smoking again the other day.
Now i feel as if im more focused while sober, and its hard to not smoke everyday, but without smoking i get SUPER stressed and its not a good time for anyone.
The thing is, i LOVE cannabis!everything about it, the smell, taste, that smokey air, talking and learning about hemp AND marijuana is the most interesting, and all of the truth that is exposed from a high perspective. i love the medical benefits, but feeling so high feels kinda weird and i feel normal at the momet because i smoked this morning right before breakfast and didnt smoke again and im feeling good, just normal but no uptight or stressed, Which is a good thing.
I dont know where im going with this, just thought i had to share, Anyone else feel similar?

And right now i really wanna smoke since im bored and its late, and it might just help me sleep

Re: Feeeling better sober?

I see where you're coming from, you probably dont want to make smoking pot an everyday thing. I used to do that two years ago when I first started smoking and it got to a point where the high was "normal" for me.

Now, I like to keep it fresh and exciting from time to time. Ive been sober for 15 days now, but not by choice. I was unemployed for the longest and I finally found a job, I also have my second interview with another job on Tuesday.

So my sobriety will come to an end soon enough.

Re: Feeeling better sober?

There are times to be sober and times to be high. Getting high all day every day is not a good thing.

Re: Feeeling better sober?

I'm not exactly sure what your really saying but I think I can relate. I smoked for the past year in a row.. basically every single day. It came to the point where I had developed minor depression and had depressive feelings almost everyday. I stopped smoking pot for a week and felt amazing. So good. After going back, I almost began to feel as if I didn't enjoy the herb anymore. Now I've slowed down the amount of pot I smoke and am beginning to feel much better overall. I agree though, when you are sober after being used to smoking daily, I began to feel really really good, virtually no depression.

Oh, and putting two days inbetween sessions is awesome... get so damn high compared to daily toking.

Re: Feeeling better sober?

weed gives me social anxiety sometimes so I usually keep my toking to night times when i have work and college

there are def benefits to being sober but like OP said- weed has too many good things about it- the overall good body feeling and low level psychedelic state of mind is enough reason for me to never want to quit

Re: Feeeling better sober?

I guess i thought it was cool to smoke like its nothing and keep smoking as much as i wanted. Now, its moderation.

Re: Feeeling better sober?

I've been smoking basically every day for the past 9 months.... It's been fun, but I know I am craving a break. It's tempting to see that after a week you start to feel much better. I think smoking everyday and usually multiple times a day can kinda drag you down after a while.

That it will do. That's also why I only wake and bake maybe once or twice a week at most. I usually wait until late afternoon to start smoking.

You can smoke all you want and be a productive member of society if you do it responsibly and wisely.

Re: Feeeling better sober?

I sort of go through cycles. I'll usually go about a month smoking pretty heavily, then take a week to a month off. Just feels right, and I really do enjoy being sober during that time.
