Great Legalization video, this makes me happy

For any fans of mr. Ron Paul out there you may want to check out this fascinating interview i just found on norml. It is the first time i have ever witnessed a public official of somewhat high standing openly support legalization

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) on CNN: Legalize Marijuana to reduce crime | NORML's Daily Audio Stash

Love Ron Paul to death, wish he would have won this last election, but he really needs to get his talking points organized better on this issue. Referencing the illegalization of marijuana back in the 30s is fine, but there's a lot more recent information he could be citing as well.

As for that ex-DEA douche who says that drug use would double or w/e, that's bullshit... Generally speaking, if people want to do drugs, they're going to do drugs regardless of what the law is. We may see an initial minor increase in usage after across the board legalization, but I also suspect that number would dwindle down after a short time.

In any case, it's good to see some politicians finally trying to make some headway in the marijuana department, if nothing else. I wouldn't mind other drugs remaining illegal if marijuana were completely legalized.

I agree legalizing all drugs isnt neccesary. Only weed should be legalized and taxed and sold. Other destructive drugs should be decriminalized, so if you get caught with them you just get sent to rehab, or some type of counseling but no criminal charges of any sort, and nothing on your record.

I approve of this for sure. Makes more sense too. Jail is a terrible form of rehab.
