phazes of becoming a pothead.

this ended up alot longer than i intended so please bear with me and read it.

an old friend of mine and myself once had a discussion about this and just wanted to see if it rings true for you guys too. it seems that from the moment you take your first toke untill you become a seasoned pothead there are several stages that one progresses through. first your just in love with the herb and will smoke anything that even looks like pot. next comes the "everything i see MUST be made into a smoking device" phaze. dont matter if its a used urinal cake, by god that things gonna be turned into a bong!!! also along with this usually comes the "smoking makes me cool" and the constantly being stoned stupid phazes. next we start learning about what were talking about so fondly and pick up a nice first piece of glass, learn to roll a decent joint or blunt, find a good dealer of the dank shit.... finally after many years of blazing we reach that holy grail of a true cannabis afficianado. no longer do we care about what others think of our smoking habits cus we know that they still have no clue what their talking about. we begin to collect nicer pieces of glass just for the art of it. perhaps we start to grow our own for any number of reasons, read books on ganja and hang out on grass city all damn day long. ive noticed myself go thru these phazes till now im at the point where i enjoy learning more about the herb and collecting some nice glass and growing some flame buds and just the whole cannabis culture more than actually smoking and getting stoned outta my skull. im happy to sit and bullshit about weed or tend my garden and just take a snapper out of the ol bong or bubbler once in a while. so what are your thoughts on this matter?

I know what you mean though, there are MANY more stages between all those, but those are the highlights.. The verryy first stage was the first "deal"..buying a dime of the shwiggy shwagg and feeling like you had a highly illegal like weapon or something in your pocket. Then finding a hiding spot and constantly checking to make sure its there. Taking the first hit and not knowing how to inhale, not getting high..smelling the smell of burning shwag for the first time and thinking "wow im doing a drug"

Then I tried a g of dank and got supper crazy retarded gone. Then I settled to popcorn(mids) for about 40% of my smoking career.. at the time, that stuff got me as high or higher than headies does now.

Now Im pissed if its just dro and not dank shit.

i started smoking too late (almost 17) to go through the "smoking makes me cool" stage.. but then again some people i know still think they are cool because they smoke pot. im really far from seasoned, but weed is becoming more of an ordinary everyday thing for me. dont know if thats good.. there was a time when it started interfering with my school stuff. but i took care of that

idk if this is a phase or not but usually when i smoke i like to be alone and make song cool ass guitar riffs. i used to just go around with friends, smoke, be retarded, forget most of day.

wow. its crazy to realize that most peop go through this. I started smoking with experienced people, so they were already through this... so i thought i was just weird... but the urinal cake had me laughin man... very true... im over that stage, but now my collecting stage is much more expensive

So true Johnny. I am definitely at the end of the road so to speak. I enjoyed my previous stages but I must say the last stage is the most enlightening. I want to learn more and more about it as well. I am constantly filling my head with anti-prohibition stuff, growing tips, etc. Such a peaceful phase and I love it.
