So I am at an odd point. Bit of background. I have been smoking daily for many years and I don't like how much I have to smoke to get high. I grew about 2 ounces of some of the dankest herb I have ever smoked and it only took me one month to smoke half of it. I refuse to squander the rest so its back to buying some buds but finances are tight and lowering my tolerance would help in more ways than one. My problem is I love smoking. I can go without smoking herb but I want something to smoke. Its the act of smoking I find enjoyable. But there is one problem. Nothing tastes as good as herb and nothing smells as good as a stinky nugget. I quit smoking cigs years ago and don't like tobacco much any more. I dont like cloves, beedes or any of that stuff. Spice is expensive and tastes kind of crappy. Honestly my lungs could use a break as well so I should probebly just stop smoking anything. Is it weird I am addicted to the act of smoking itself more than the actual weed? Anyone else have the same feeling and has come to this crossroads before? I am thinking a month of no smoking and my good herb will probebly be so potent I could make it last a long time. In this time I would just buy an ounce of some good herb that is potent but not so insainly tasty so when I start back up I can use that stash mostly and not touch my blueberry much. I dunno, any advice friends? Im giving myself the weekend to make a decision. I have quit before but usually I would smoke cigs and drink beer at times so this is a little harder. Maybe I will buy some black and milds or cigars. P.S. Its not any easier when your friends love to smoke and you have a sizable glass/parafanalia collection.

It is hard for the first week or so, just make sure you have plenty of activities and what not to do to occupy your time. Try to do physical activities that make you tired so you can pass out without too much insomnia.

yea im in a similar boat. it takes like twice as much weed to get high as before, and i tried to take a tolerance break starting monday this week. i smoked monday night, and then continued to try and quit tuesday, smoked that night, then basically started smoking like normal, without the wake n bake.i still want a tolerance break, but the problem is im like 117 pounds 5 foot 8, and the first days of quitting my appetite is horrible, so i really feel scared i'll loose weight over the days my appetites all fucked up. i got this hormone deficiency, or found out i had it, and i guess thats what made me so skinny. so im trying to decide if i should smoke until i gain weight, then t-break, or t-break starting monday But for your situation FAST EDDIE id suggest you should take like a two week break then your bud will be curing, and you come back to almost no tolerance and some niice bud, then build some habit of less smoking like a semi schedule, two sessions a day or somethin.

Yeah...The though of a t-break makes me cringe....everything about bud is so beautiful. I'm also in the same situation; Im a poor college student, so money is limited...i have some seeds germinating so hopefully that works out! Maybe you should pick up a hobby to occupy your mind...acoustic guitars are pretty cheap and alot of fun.

I also smoked everyday for years, and I haven't smoked since august. Now, I didn't take a break because I wasn't getting all that high (even though I wasn't) i took a break because I had to, and to be honest it hasn't even been that hard. I've been around it almost everyday and I still haven't given in. I've had more motivation, more money, and just a clearer head. The only downfall I've had is boredom, and trouble falling asleep at night.

Every T break i have the same routine.... On my first day sober i ALWAYS watch trainspotting. It reminds me that things could be worse. Then i go to the rave and DANCE the night away. Then i play a lot of madden until the T break is over. I've been 7 days clear already, only 3 to go! |
