ph(x) tetra questions

okay so me and a couple of kids are all about to throw down on a ph(x) tetra. but the headshop i went to, to look at the ph(x)'s all had sphere bottoms instead of beaker and pedestal bottoms. they also have this like mini bong that is supposedly made by ph(x). i have a feeling all these ph(x)'s are fake. can someone who knows something tell me what is up?

I highly recommend that you do not purchase a PHX especially the Tetra as I have had a Trinity and Tetra before and they are not as high quality tubes as one would imagine. The joints are sloppy are PHX's and on a tetra there will be way too much drag.

If you want a 3 perc'd bong like the tetra I would go for a straight tube it will clear much faster than if you were to use one of the PH(X)'s beaker or bubble which have a large volume.

IF you want to go for another line of percolators I suggest using LUX Scientific which is made by ROOR.us just cheaper since the ROOR name will add an extra 100 to your bill.

Never buy anythings with friends. Someone will always get greedy, and what happens when you guys split up? Who is going to keep the bong?

As for whether they are real or not, chances are they are real. The only thing you should know is that PHX's are known to have bases blown thin and poor joint placement. Their diffusors are pretty decent but sometimes their percs can have killer drag depending on what style you pick up.

Just consider that.

gotta disagree with nugs bout the drag...i have both the trinity beaker bottom and the tetra pedastool...both are insanely great water pipes. not too expensive if you know the right people either i paid 340 for my tetra at a headshop that had the price tag of 500. came with a ph(x) ash catcher and everything. hes right about the pedastool bottoms though, they clear much much quicker;although the beaker bottom hits phenomenal too. for tetra id say go for pedastool, beaker if you decide to go 2perc with the trinity.

as for you rythem of life, dont worry about what is going to happen when we buy it, it is already figured out. i want to know if the ph(x)'s are legit. they have a bong that has only one perc and a splashguard. then they have a double perced bong with a splashguard. ph(x) doesnt even make a single perced 33 in bong. im speculate on wether the bong is real or not. it has a bubble bottom withc is something that i thought ph(x)'s dont have. can someone please tell me if they are real or not?

all ive seen personally is beaker and pedastool...only 2 and 3 percs.
i have seen pictures of fake ones but id have to see the perc that it has...explain it to me

Have you ever hit a LUX Tree Perc or a Toro Dome Perc?

Those are glass percolators that are actually designed well with minimal drag.

I have hit the new style PHX's and indeed they are nice, but their no where near comprable to a Tree Perc or a Toro Dome style even though they stopped making those in production.

Yes PHX does make bubble bottoms, and I have seen a single chambered PHX that is 30 or so inches tall in the headshop

glass master 4 20 thank your for your knowledge. the bong is 33 in, with a sphere (bubble bottom). there are two perculators then a third chamber that the lady said is a splash guard. ( i dont know what a splash guard is so i dont know if thats true or not.) then they have another 33 in bong with what they say is one perculator and then another chamber that is a splash guard. i know that ph(x) doesnt make a bong like this that is why i started to speculate as to whether the ph(x)'s they had were real or not. they also have a like 6 in tall bong with just the word x on it. that is definatley not real.

nugmaster is right...he has hit every type of water pipe ive hit. sorry sir but i know about drag...and that "drag" is the smoke getting pulled through every single little hole in the percolator. hey you're entitled to your opinion...but imo, pH(x) is a very, very nice water pipe. i myself would like to find one of the smaller beaker bottom trinity's in cobalt...thats a beautiful pipe

pH(x) does indeed have a splash guard...is the logo sand blasted onto it? the perc's on phx are like a straight tube, with an outter ring of tiny holes. i take it it has an ice catcher?

if the headshop has a mini ph(x) that is obviously fake, they have a single percualtor 33 inch bong witch would also be fake, and all of there bottoms are sphere (bubble bottoms) are these bongs fake? they have real roors and i called them and asked if they were real and they said yes.
