A little advice

okay, well some of you might have read my last thread about me getting busted and the whole intervention. Well i thought my parents were EXTREMELY conservative and very much so against weed. well my dad had some of his friends over for dinner and tole me that he was a hippy in his time. My dad told me that i CANT smoke for 120 days or he will stop paying for my college/rent and ill have to get loans and all that shit, which i'd perfer not to do if i dont have to. Should i just not smoke for 120 days (october 17) or should i call his bluff and blaze up tell him its hypocracy that i cant blaze even though he did.

Why risk it? He's not even being unreasonable at all.

Take a t-break, and enjoy getting your school paid for. Is it worth having to go through all that stress just because you didn't want to put the reefer down for a couple months?

if hes paying for your school i sure as hell would take a break from smoking rather then pay tuition and all that stuff. student loans suck trust me

No, why give someone bad advice?

Sure, there is always a chance that you smoke and don't get caught. On the other hand why risk it? It's not a long time to wait and school is really more important.

He's actually not even being hypocritical. That's one thing that people try to use against their parents that I never understood, just because someone at one point in time did something and they are now attempting to deter you from doing it does not make them hypocritical. If he still blazed on a regular basis then, yes, that would be hypocritical but still understandable since he is your dad and probably only wants the best for you.

Just wait it out, man.


On another note, if I were a parent and was paying my kids way through college and I found out they were smoking weed I wouldn't stop paying for their school because you know what often happens after that? Those kids end up dropping out. So instead of helping your kid get an education you only hurt their chances. That logic never made a whole lot of sense to me.

..study, get ready for exams, whatever you're supposed to be doing right now. Make the next 120 days the most productive they possibly can be.


The fact your dad said don't smoke for 120 days rather than don't smoke ever is pretty damn amazing!

its summer time nukka im suppose to be blazin that dank son!!! he chose 120 days because a hair frolicle (sp?) last for like 120 days or something like that, and he expects not to see a trace of thc; sadly i didnt think it was gonna come down to not smoking da ganj. but i guess ill pick up drinking and cigs again...
