i have no idea if this has been done before but i will give it a shot.

this thread is for the intelligent druggies/stoners who often have deep thoughts/questions/ideas they would like to discuss. any topic is allowed as long as it is deep.. for example, (not to be cliche) "what is the meaning of life?" lets actually start off with this question as a matter of fact....what do you think the meaning of life is?

personally, i believe that life is the ultimate form of entertainment (until death). We are given this life to explore and discover. I believe that drugs are a perfect medium for this, ie. acid. We as human beings are the most intellectual species on this earth (even though we dont act like it) and by using these tools (not abusing) we can gain knowledge and wisdom, and also find our inner self. thats just a little of my insight, dont know if it makes any sense to you guys. feel free to discuss what you think the meaning of life is or bring up another deep thought

This makes me think of the movie "The Truman Show".
Actually, it kinda makes me think of The Matrix too.

This isn't something I consider right or wrong. I suppose it could be right. I mean, I've found myself getting in a daily routine and realizing later that I was doing the exact same things day in and day out. Finally found meaning to the saying "Same shit, different day."

But I'm also fairly certain I exist. I may not be that important, but I do exist. This computer I'm typing on exists, and that TV over in my corner exists too. I mean, people have been around a long time. Heck, we're even exploring Mars now. I guess I'm just a more of an optimist.

I hope this made some sense. I'm pretty baked at the moment.
But I love getting getting into really deep thoughts about my life or the world.

Of course you can verify your own existence. But how do you know that the TV or computer exists? Because you see it? Our senses are easily deceived. Delve deeper into how you know things exist. Your eyes have seen things that are not there. Your hand have felt things that aren't there. So how can you rely on senses alone? For all you know this could be a Matrix like scenario like you said.

always wondered this, like schizophrenics dont even know they are schizo and they think the shit they see is actually there and get sent to an institution and they might not even know where they are or wtf is happening but dont really question, or CANT even question it because they are in a totally different world

alright honestly i say this is thinkin too hard...
if there was no computer, i would not be seeing your thought right now
how could my mind possibly come up with millions of other people who i talk to over a computer that doesnt exist. how can i talk to someone on myspace and then the next day talk to them in person about our discussion on myspace is this computer was fake. how can we watch tv at the same time as someone else and watch the same show the same episode if tvs didnt exist..sorry not tryin to be an ass but...

hmm i have had some pretty deep thoughts though, i forgot one really cool one i had i will try to remember it though...
i dont remember but one lil thing i have always thought about is

what if there are multiple "worlds", i know there are but i mean like....planet earths....
what is, everyone lives in different time periods and justs keeps cylcling through the different periods, once you die you move on to the next. like maybe before this i lived in the renaissance period... next ill move on to the future..and if certain seers or whatever such as Aristotle predicted things because they somehow remembered their past lives of different time periods..

sorry, that might be way dumb but i think its way weird and wonder about that i mean i love to ponder life after death, im not religious but i think the idea of being buried 6 feet under, only to be washed up by some insane flood, or forgotten over the years and have a school built on my remains to be very lame.

Building off that, I have always wondered if the people that see and hear things who are considered crazy are actually the sane and intelligent people in society. They have just evolved and now have new senses or at least stronger sense than the rest of us "normal" people have.

i mean in a way its like how dogs and shit are supposedly able to see ghosts, it creeps me out when im chillin at home and my dog just stares in one spot quietly. that reminds me of your idea, because dogs just sit there kinda and go oh shit, they cant say anything and just look at it. what if those people who are considered crazy are kinda like that, they see and hear shit of maybe another realm that normal people can not see or sense, but of course we dont listen to them because we think they are crazy.
