I was just discussing similar things with my wife.
For one, it makes me feel more aware of every little thing around me. I feel that it helps me to appreciate things that are often ignored from day-to-day. I notice every detail of everything, and I always remember it. It's breathtaking when I feel like that. It also helps me to appreciate the people in my life and makes me respect myself in a deeper manner as I often feel I am experiencing myself and other people in a different way. It's sort of hard to explain but I assume some of you have felt the same way. It does cause me to be different, different in a good way. Different because I am not going through everyday being blind and hiding from the world. It makes me feel like the world and life are much deeper than most imagine. |
