Can you be allergic to cannabis?

My moms saying she is, i know you can be allergic to anything but my friend begs to differ. my mother's eyes turn read, throat burns, sinuses act up, and coughs. Shes like a dog and can smell the vapors before its even burnt, full on hound.

Like I said, I know you can be allergic to anything, but my friend doesn't think its possible. If I'm right, thank god I got the good genes, if I'm wrong, forgive my ignorance.

i cough..
an my throat hurts some times..
but any inhalation of any type of smoke will cause your sinuses to act up if your like that..
but you never know..
i think its possible..

yes its very possible. people with allergy to cannabis can get fairly sick when then smoke. their lungs get inflamed and its becomes hard to breath...

it would really suck to be one of these people.

ya definatly sounds like avrage MJ smoking side affects. and ive heard about people being allergic to pot before but not with evedence or side affect sounds...anyway i think 50/50 on the yes/no thing cuz it seems posible but the numbers are astronomical and you might have someone that dosent do it thats allergic or someone that has phycological allergies to the drug like not liking it cuz the way it makes you feel just like when some people dont like chocolate and most do some people actually are allergic to chocolate i know a few myself, but almost
all people do chocolate and few don't and its mostly in outlying countries that some people don't get chocolate...

I have a rasta friend with dreads and he's alergic to marijuana. He's smoked 1 time and had to go to the hospital because his throat closed up and he couldn't breath. If you saw him though you'd swear he smokes the dank! I feel soo sorry for him.

i am allergic but thakfully not that bad i get a nasty rash on my arm but if i take a benadrill before i smoke i get to skip that part and now it my reatcion is getting less and less as the years go on im hoping by the time im 30 not to be lol

Yes you can be and I have story to tell about this...

My friend J and me smoked a fat blunt before school in the morning and we walk into school for our first period class and this sub teacher who is named Crack Whore - cause about 99% of the school thinks she does (even teachers lol) (NOTHING AGAINST CRACK, just not my thing) Well, she is HIGHLY allergic to weed smoke. My friend J who is severely blitzed out of his skull sits and stands right next to her the entire period asking funny ass questions and I giggle my ass off as she coughs and blows her nose. Mind you a bouncy ball got thrown across the room and everyone was screaming "FUCK YOU CRACK LADY!" the entire time. Good times, good times.

I knew a guy that broke out and swelled up the first time he smoked. It was funny, the whole time we were just tellin him "your trippin, your not breaking out". I saw him a few years later smoking and he seemed fine.

I don't quite know if you can, but my dad's girlfriend vomits profusely every time she smokes. . It's a bummer.

Yes, it is possible. My friend that I go to college with is allergic. Whenever I smoke and then go by her, no matter how white i get my eyes from drops or get the smell of my clothes, she knows cuz her allergies will start to act up.

i was gonna say this.I smoked a blunt about a month ago and got so high like a shaky nausea type effect i could barely walk and managed to go from my backyard to my couch and rite wen i hit that couch my hole dinner came out

for 1.5 hours i was throwing up, felt like shit worst feeling ever.i looked it up on the net the next day and 2 results came up either i was holding in the smoke for too long or i was allergic.but I smoked since then and nothings happened

So it is possible, a friend off mine always sneezes when he grinds his bud and rolls one. He gets it even wworse woth dank. I though it was just hay fever or something but he claims it's the weed. Wouldn't wanna have that

you could've just gotten sick from the blunt paper if you don't ever consume any nicotine because it's made out of pressed tobacco leaves

My eyes will sometimes get itchy and then I'll get a stuffy nose, but that happens with cigarette smoke too.
