anyone else get quiet after smoking a lot?

the title says it, but ill explain
whenever i finish a big bowl or blunt i sometimes get really quiet and observant...almost to the point where I dont say a word for a half an hour around a group of like 20 people. im a little shy, but when im not high it is not nearly as magnified.

It just kinda depends on the people and the session. Sometimes I do with random people, usually not if I'm with my good friends though. But if I get uber baked it dosn't matter cuz I usually end up saying some rediculous shyt

ayo i feel you man. i got that same fuckin problem somehow. i wear contacts and that shit bugs the hell out of me when my eyes get all irie so im usually more focused on shit thats annoys me. and also im way more down to earth and i like to talk about shit that matters in life you know. not politics or anything just cool shit. but yah like this dude said when im around my good friends we just have a blast and act soooo cabbage around each other and just laugh our asses off. thats why at parties i like to get drunk and then smoke some weed hahaha.

Awwee mannn....I know how this can be sometimes but for me its usually when i add in painkillers...Its sriously the strain and your overall tolerance. Some strains make your ramble and osme starins make you struggle to talk...its pot man, as much as we glorify it, theres no denying that getting too baked can suck sometimes in situations where you wouldny want to act high. It all depends on the bud and the person, I smoke some syrains before class and they make me alerty and interactive and I was nodding out in My HUM2230 class today and Im known through the department for excellent grades, input and class participation

Yep. I try to talk when strangers are around, but it still happens. Not all the time, just when I'm reeeealllly baked. It's just because, as stated earlier, you get more observant and get so caught up in thinking that you don't NEED to talk. What I hate is when people rag on us for this. "How can you not talk? Nothing to say? You antisocial pothead, you."


Maybe if the world would just get high and shut up for a minute, we'd have that world peace everyone's been aching for.

I got friends that have that prob, I'm a talkative person though and am chill with everyone until they prove otherwise so I'm usually one of the main talkers. Helps that I have had a fuck load of funny experiences in my 6 years smoking so I got hella stories.

i think could be a fairly low tolerance in combination with smoking ALOT. i used to get this way when i was younger like 17 (20 now) sometimes, back when my tolerance wasn't high, and i just don't think i knew how to handle the stone.

just don't smoke as much in one sitting, i bet you'll find a high you enjoy more, and won't be so self concious

Yea, I'm the same way. My friend on the other hand has the oposite effect. He can't shut up. So it works out good, because I can listen to him talk, enjoy my high, and not say a word. lol

Yes, sometimes I get the same way, especially with heavy indica strains. The best word to describe that mindset is "introspective". I thoroughly enjoy such a high when I am by myself and and feeling very reflective.

The sativa strains tend to make me much more talkative and give me a sort of objective commentary on things.

When I smoke around people I don't know, mostly chicks, I sometimes get really self-conscious, and just don't get in the conversation as much. That is why I like smoking with my homies... some fun ass times.
