chillax's Strain Reviews - Jack Herer.

To give back to the grasscity community, I have decided I will be doing a strain profile for every new strain I come across. I hope these will be helpful to fellow blades as we all attempt to learn more about the valuable plant marijuana is. Enjoy, blades.

Peace,

Strain Review - Jack Herer

<a href="http://s269.photobucket.com/albums/jj62/chillaxm/?action=view&current=Jack1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj62/chillaxm/Jack1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is the Jack Herer I had.

Here is another picture so you get a better idea (not mine):

Background: This strain, named after the infamous marijuana enthusiast, connoisseur and activist, provides one of the better smokes out there. A cross between Skunk #1, Northern Lights #5, and Haze, this bud packs a powerful punch while maintaining and extremely high smoke quality and taste. Sativa dominant in genetics, this is a perfect thread for early bird smokers, or those situations where you need to stay focused (somewhat). The cerebral high is unmatched, making it obvious why this strain has won the Cannabis Cup more than once.

Appearance: The Jack Herer I had was very nice looking. As you can see in the picture, it was pretty heavily coated ... covered, one might say, in Trichomes. It was fluffy in small little buds on the outside and slightly bigger buds on the inside. There were red hairs on the bud, though not that many. It was, for the majority, green [and white].

Smell: The smell of the Jack Herer was quite distinctive. It was spicy, yet sweet, reminiscent of a pine tree forest and a good mexican restaurant's parking lot at the same time. I enjoyed the smell and it proved to be just a small preview of what to come.

Taste: To be blunt [], this marijuana tasted amazing. It tasted as you'd expect, similar to the smell yet a little deeper, darker, and, of course, smokier. The grass had a smooth flavor that was very pleasing.

Smoke Quality: The smoke quality of the Jack Herer was superb. Out of a glass bowl, the smoke was surprisingly smooth. It burned very well and consistently. It was easy on the throat compared to many other strains. In joint form, the smoke quality held up. In joints and blunts, the quality of the smoke really stood out and impressed me. Through water filtration pipes, such as bubblers and bongs, the smoke was almost impossibly smooth. Taking massive sized hits proved no challenge what so ever, leaving me a pleased smoker indeed.

The High: One for the books, to be sure. The sativa dominant genetic background reveals itself here, as the smoker is left more energized and mentally engaged than with other smokes. Being sativa dominant, the high lacked the munchie-and-sleep motif common to indica strains. Concentrated in the head, this high left the smoker to do as he pleases, including physical and mental work. The high lends itself to creativity, and the smoker will surely enjoy creating, or appreciating, any form of art, visual or audio.

Overall: A perfect blend of what many smokers look for in a strain. If you have the opportunity, it is certainly worth obtaining. If you're looking for a cerebral, non-debilitating high, this is one of the best strains out there. 9.5/10.

well obviously its hard to find somthing bad about his bud, I mean like he said it won cannabis cup a few times and the only way to do that is to have some near perfect bud.

It's good stuff, I don't think its that smooth or good tasting, i mean it has that distinct jack smell i get no matter who i pick it from, but its a unique smell. I wouldn't catagorize is at good it just smells potent. Just my 2cents tho...im pretty fucked

Not to put you down, but you do know that "strain reviews" are far from accurate. As the Jack Herrer of yours, was extremely high quality and appeased to you, others who grow the exact same strain may result in a different outcome, and feelings toward the strain. Jack Herrer is a strain, but if one were to plant a garden of it, and there best friend were to plant a garden, each one of these best friends' strains would be different. They still are, in fact the same strain, but depending on what time one harvests the plant and how well it is taken care of, causes each zip lock bag of this strain to be colloquially different.
