Would you ever quit?
Hey guys. Don't get me wrong, I love herb with all my heart, but recently it's been causing me more harm than good (the law, family etc.) and it made me think: would you guys ever consider quitting? Why or why not? By all means, I'm probably not quitting anytime soon, but I was thinking somewhere down the line I'd eventually have to...however the thought of never being high ever again terrifies me.

I haven't had any trouble quitting (for the time being). Sure, even after the fact, I would occasionally think "Hey, this situation would be great with a joint" but by no means does that mean I actually crave or want one. I am doing perfectly fine without marijuana, but I think I will smoke again when the time comes. Again, just an occasional thing. I would definitely stop if I saw myself having a problem with it, or my friends brought it to my attention. I never want to have a dependence on any substance. And then the reason I started coming to GC is in part because I have for some reason or another gotten more interested in activism months after my hiatus began :P

Of course I would quit if a good enough reason came up. For example, if a once in a lifetime job came along and I had to test regularly, I wouldn't think twice about quitting. The fact is that it's just weed, it's not terribly important, none of my life's major accomplishments can be credited to it, and there are many, many more important things.

i recently got into a relationship where the chick didnt smoke alot or as much as me and she keeps trying to guilt trip me into stopping and its gotten me thinking...
i think im gonna smoke the rest of my life, the amount of course will vary due to work, school and money situations, but i think once a toker..always a toker..i can do a t-break if i commit myself to it but even when i have kids, ill still smoke at night after theyre long asleep in my studio room with vents and shit |
