I Need Some Opinions

Hey GC I need some opinions from some seasoned tokers. Is it possible that weed can cause paranoia outside of when you're on it. I ask this because I have been experiencing some paranoia that closely resembles the kind of paranoia you get when you smoke (i.e. thinking people dont like me, small stuff like that) Is anyone well informed on this, or has this happened to anyone? Also in your opinions is this permanent or do you think its just a kind of phase? thanks GC

yeh can make you paranoid mate, i know guys who will NEVER toke again due to full on paranoia from smoking ganja.

like you experience ,you think folk dont like ya or feel every1 is looking & judging you or whatever situation your in is getting scrutinised,when really its just a case of paranoia.

cant tell you if its a phase as only you will be able too tell. so either have a break & see how you feel in similar situations ,where before ,when stoned you were paranoid.

if feel ok, then try a smoke and then see what happens.

Honestly i have seen an increase in such thoughts you describe since i started using drugs. I find it hard to hang out with old friends simply cause i feel not liked. But when i face my inner thoughts and just go chill with my old friends its always a good time. Its a shame such paranoid thoughts can sometimes control my life...

A depressant isn't a drug that makes you depressed or paranoid, it's just a term for a drug that makes part of your body not react as well as it should. Alchohol is a depressant because it works against your body and diminishes motor functions/thinking, etc. Cannabis has a lot of chemicals that effect you in it that it's hard to classify, and has qualities of a depressant, psychadelic, stimulant, etc.

what you're experiencing is not uncommon, while everyone's brain chemistry works a little differently. anxiety and paranoia are side effects that are experienced so some extent by most cannabis users. as with many drugs, cannabis use can trigger symptoms of pre-existing or dormant physiological conditions, such as general anxiety disorder. this could also be the result of cannabis affecting the action of other drugs in the system. are u taking any other drugs for phychological conditions such as ssri? i would say to cut down blazing a little, and see if it helps. if not, see a phychiatric consultant
