I have been smoking for about 4 years now just abuot everyday. I used to barley cough.... Now ever time i hit the bong i cough... I have a great bong, and i still cough all the time unless its a very small hit. I don't cough from j blunts or bowls.... just bongs....

Try filling your bong with warm water. I have found the hit to be a lot smoother.

i don't ever cough. But 90% of the time i get high I use a vape so maybe that helps. I still feel shitty after a big joint though and I rarely smoke them

Ever thought about taking a tolerance break. It'll get you higher when you come back and you can give your lungs a chance to heal a bit.

ew i hate filling my bong with warm water. I always prefer ice cold water for a smoother hit. That's why some bongs have ice catchers for that cooler, smoother hit. Hitting a bong with warm water makes the smoke warm and i just don't like inhaling a whole cloud of warm smoke

It's the way your doing it. Try starting off your smoking session with smaller hits and increase gradually.

Warm water (mostly the steam from it) helps to open the lungs and allow for better breathing and hits.

I am a pretty small person 5'8 130lbs and I hardly ever cough from any type of smoking weather it be bongs, blunts, joints, bowls, even watter bottle bongs and such. I hate coughing after a big rip because your eyes get all watery and its just not fun.

i cough when i inhale improperly. like for example if i take too big a toke, or if i didnt take a few deep breaths before a bong rip.

you just have to know you limits so-to-speak.

a friend of mine has developed a nasty cough from bongs, he attributes it to inhaling all the lighter fluid.. im not sure about the truth in that though.

also taking tolerance breaks works wonders.
