Usefullness of seasoned toker forum?(Longish post)

Dont get me wrong I like this forum alot and the idea behind it. But it just really imo cant work. Most of the threads posted here are exactly like that in recreational marijuana forum.

Reasons why I think this forum is somewhat pointless:


-There are alot of people on these forums
-Alot of people = alot of smart intelligent people, and alot of idiots


*having alot of intelligent people to answer questions for eachother is a good thing, and is probably what Seasoned toker forums was made for, however these idiots or less intelligent people on the forum(not calling anyone or any people out lol). keep posting topics here because there is nothing that keeps them from doing so.

More Reasons:

-No way to regulate people from posting stupid things here

*Mods can move posts etc etc but eventualley it becomes a debate if it fits into this forum and all that crap and they will end up just leaving the post. (From what I've seen anyway after reading forums for a long time)

-There is no TRUE way to decide what a seasoned toker is as everyones interpretation can be different.

*Is a seasoned toker someone who smokes every second of every day? Someone who knows alot of different strains? Someone who has a huge collections of bongs,pipes? Someone who can answer any question possibly asked about marijuana?

-That being said, there is no way to weed out people who are less experienced, there is no exam to take deciding whether you can post here or not.

*Since there is no way to truly weed out seasoned tokers less intelligent people who just keep posting dragging these forums down, with no restrictions.


CONCLUSION

My conclusion is that there simply is no way to define the "Seasoned Toker" and that there is no way to make this a perfect, or anywhere near perfect forums for that matter. Without the proper definition of seasoned toker CLEARLY DEFINED it will be impossible to take action against those who post stupid things here. Another problem which arises from this is if you clearly define what a seasoned toker is and someone does not follow this, the punishment against them would have to be suspension or being banned, unless mods want to be moving threads and warning people forever (which i dont think is what they should be here for). These problems can not be corrected IMHO.


SOLUTION


The solution IMO is simple. Eliminate this forum, (not the posts move to somewhere else where people can still see for reference etc) but make new posts,threads impossible etc.

Basicalley, make this forum something people can browse through but not add anything else to. a "dead" forum if you will.

Another option is just to eliminate it completely.

Next....

Create a whole new forum titled something along the lines of "Noobie questions about marijuana"

This is a section where these less intelligent, or people who are not yet enlightened about marijuana can go to ask there silly questions.

REASONS I THINK THIS WOULD WORK

I think its somewhat a disgrace to truly seasoned tokers out there that they have this forum being desicrated by idiotic posts. This new forum would provide an outlet for people to ask silly stupid questions and not feel foolish, while seasoned tokers could provide their insight, helpfullness, and general knowledge of the herb, and in general be HELPFULL TO OTHERS.




THINGS TO TAKE NOTE OF ABOUT SOLUTION


*tokers still have the recreational forum to talk about more moderate level and advanced things, along with some stupid posts which will always be there at some level, even with a noob forum.

*They are providing help to people instead of pretending to have their own forum which is really the same thing as recreational marijuana use.








Please recognize that this post was made with 100% good intentions, i am not trying to upset or call anyone out, there may be some valid posts/points i missed. PLEASE POST YOUR FEELINGS ON THIS SUBJECT+CRITICISM+IDEAS.

yea damn that was long, anyway the idea isnt terrible but i dont think that deleting the whole seasoned tokers section is a good idea.

Or another possible soulution i'll throw out there why not make it so that anyone can view this forum but a certain post count would be required to actually post here in seasoned tokers or by rep possibly
