Going to Jamaica

So I found out I'm going to Negril, Jamaica over spring break.

My question is, just how legal is weed in Jamaica? Also, how easy is it to obtain in a touristy place like that, what dangers are involved, etc? Anybody with experience in this?

I figured it'd be a good idea to get an opinion from experienced persons in the matter, if anyone here knows about weed and Jamaica. (That means, if you really don't know but just want to go "WOOO JAMAICA WEED!!", hold your comments)

i was there last spring break where are you staying?? i was at the beaches resort and i got 5 sharpie length stalks of crazy grass for 40 dollars from the guy that ran the jetski rentals within 4 hours of arriving. its such a joke, bring a lighter though i forgot mine and had to use matches from the bar. but yeah you wont have any trouble finding it, people literally walk up and down the beach hawking weed and shrooms and if you walk down the beach youll smell it every now and then. go to the beaches resort even if you arent staying there its all inclusive and you can just walk up to the bars and order as many free drinks as you want. youre in for a treat, i wish i could join you but im going to mexico. youll have a blast though just bring papers (if youd rather get a piece you can pick one up at the airport glass stand, no joke) and over 20 dollars youll be set. have a blast.

Try to frolic with the Rastafarians. In the forest, in the mountains. If you meet the right people, then you can get pounds, for under 50 dollers.

went there last year...you'll notice there's lots of beach vendors slanging it...dont buy from them, the bud they have is usually shitty and really dry. its funny because just like skateonwater i got my bud there from the jetski guy hahah. i was in ocho rios, it was dope.

Ive heard that the jet ski guys always have the better weed, thats what my friend told me. He said that if he asked one and they didnt have weed, they had the number of a guy who did and they would bring it on jet skis.

technically weed is illegal in jamaica, but i didn't see any enforcement of that while we were there (Montego Bay). But dude, have fun, the green can be some of the best in the world.

You are gonna have a blast ....I went to Ocho Rios and no bullshit within 20 min I had a sack of some fire....I burned all day smokin blunts in taxis and all with some locals ...at no point did i see any kind of enforcement .

OK heres the deal: each resort own it's own piece of land and piece of the beach. there are usually markers designating where their beach ends and where the public beach begins. at a lot of resorts, they'll have you sign something saying that whatever happens in the public beach, its not their fault. sign that shit and walk over, thats where the real fun is. guys with jet skis, people selling weird random knock-off shit, and plenty of weed. my dad and i went over to go jet skiing, and some rasta dude asked my dad if we wanted reefer.

I've been to Jamaica many times and the best bud does come from tha jet ski dudes dont ever buy from guys on the street just for the simple fact that one they'll try to rip u off and two it is illegal and down there they love to arrest white people for shit like that.

dude. its illegal. but thats a complete joke. i had a taxi driver take me around, kept a half pound of AK in the car for whenever he pickd us up. only deal was he got to keep what we didnt finish haha. took us to the weed fields, pick nugs straight off the plants and toke. the nugs basically ooze with resin. you wll find but within 10 minutes of walking around.
