One of my peices, with a review. (lux tube)

I've got a few peices I wanted to post - some blue dot's and some lux's, as well as a few other pipes. As I get time I was going to post them up here with pictures and a smaller review of each peice, for the first peice I did my lux mini.




This is a Lux Scientific Mini tree percolator, straight tube.




The peice is very sound and the joint is just as thick as the rest of the glass, the joint is also 18mm, the tree percolator has the re-inforced arms to help prevent breakage and has almost no drag whatsoever. The bowl is 14mm.


The stem that I got with the peice - was a lux D cut diffused stem, and it broke shortly after (which was suprising due to the lack of tension it was recieving when broken). I replaced with a Roor diffused stem. - I think overall the lux stem cleared better (imo).

overall it's a very enjoyable peice to hit:

it's 14 inches tall.



For the 210$ paid for this peice - I dont think I could have gotten better quality. I highly recomend to anyone.

anyways - just wanted to share my peices and do a small writeup on them incase anyone else was looking into buying one - i know it's kind of sloppy for a review, but to anyone else who owns one of these and wants to add anything - feel free. I also wanted to share because this is one of the smoothest smokes i've had.

i agree, these tubes are great little tubes. portable percs at reasonable prices. i've hit the straight and i own a beaker and both are smooth.

i think 210 is a great deal for a well made tube like that

ah! sorry for not adding that in there

The AC (which isnt the best - any pillbottle AC splashes over at some point unless you put minimal water in it) ran me about 65-70. (not 100% sure but it was that price range)

the color changing glass bowl cost me 45$.

When I got the tube I also got the a/c and they threw in a free carrying case

but 210$ (at my shop) get's you the lux tube, tree percolator with a diffused stem and a regular gong lux generic bowl, which has a little handle so you dont burn yourself. good deal.

Me and my friend have been looking at one of these at our local head shop, but ive been putting off getting one till now. It looks like it produces some real clean smoke. Any color change in the smoke when you use food coloring?

I've never tried smoking out of it with the food coloring - I actually just put it in there for the photo. It produces a very nice smoke though (the pipe)

I change the water after every session, and at the end of any day it's used I wash it with 91% iso and epsom salt.

i do that too
i just hate when my clear glass gets dirty
at most i will let it go a week without cleaning and usually at the end of the week the down stem on my a/c is nearly clogged up


but i have been thinking about getting a lux for awhile now
this may have sealed the deal for me
