year old Shrooms!

Odd question:
I have one year old shroooms that were kept in ideal conditions, dark and not warm area. they look the same as the day I got them?
Safe to eat?
What could happen other then loss in potency?

I'd say they're fine. But, I don't know honestly.

I've never heard of shrooms going bad.

just be sure there is no fungal growth on them. if they were properly dried they should be fine.

true enough, but after they're dried that's the end of that. if you store them wet/damp you could get some other growth that you don't want. shrooms will start to rot almost immediately if you don't dry them. here's some mycelium i had to trash recently because of growth before they even pinned.

If they are dry they're prolly fine, I've eaten some old dried ones they are likely to be weaker though.

i have no idea but if they were completely dried when you got them and kept dry while in storage i think theyll be fine....i just have one question for you....why do you have year old shrooms????did you keep them for that whole year?

The guy I bought shrooms from said to eat the whole eighth. I put them in a sandwich bag inside a lockbox. I forgot about them for 8 months. I split the eighth with a friend and we were tripping for 6 hours and the 2 hour comedown was incredible.

Dunno if the aging made them more potent or not. They were damn good though. My first time.

If you're buying commercial shrooms there is a good chance they're a year or so old anyway.

Like with pot who knows how old the schwag really is?

Can shrooms grow fungi that happens to be philosybin. That is to say can you grow shrooms on shrooms to make mega ultra shrooms
