^i agree
this kind of sounds kind of like holland's (i think) program for heroin addicts. basically if they really want to, they can get prescriptions and clean needles for it. the goal is to reduce street crime and decrease ODs and needle contamination. in the end i believe unemployment went way down, crime went way down, heroin addicts went way down. sounds good to me... and if you look at it in comparisson, we don't need anything like that for weed (well maybe being able to buy it legally...) |

This really isnt anything new.. there's been cases where pharmacies are required to give out clean needles to anyone who asks.
Like they said.. they aren't going to stop them from using, so why not make it as safe as possible while they are still using.. I support this 100%

I think this is a good move. You really cant compare the two things in my opinion. This is a step towards a healthier society. Also, this was done largely because of the growing homeless person problem they are having. Alot of those homeless people happen to bepast or current heroin users. It's not the reason this was done, but it was a contributing factor. All in all this is just fine by me. The goverment created heroin and addicted millions, now they are having to take care of all the addicts. With this all happening, we sit here smoking herb. Still not hurting no one, and no one cares to recognize.

That is just ridiculous...Sure it is creating a safer place to do drugs but what about actually helping the lost people who come to legally use illegal drugs. How about offering support groups or something to help them get cleaner. Now SF is going to attract addicts from alllll around and things will only get worse.

its no difference. booze is just a legal form of self medicating. heroin is an illegal way, and its also detrimental to our world because of the spreading of sickness. both these things cannot be done outside, so you make places for them. Kind of like canada and holland do with weed shops.
