i have a friend who just gave me an acrylic bong because he never used it. its nothing special just a small 1 foot bong. i was wanting to clean it yesterday because it was very dirty. but i didn't know if you can boil it. because there is a lot of resin stuck to the side by the female piece. and i tried to scrape it off with an old tooth brush but it didn't do a thing.

would it be ok to boil the bong in some water to get the resin off? or would the acrylic get to hot and bend,

no.

it will melt. go ahead and boil the slide pieces tho, if their metal.

... keep alcohol away from the acrylic too

Probably too hot.

OxyClean apparently does wonders in bongs, and I'm pretty sure it would be acrylic safe.

yeah use oxyclean.. or hot salt water will work but not as good. ive seen oxyclean turn the most disgusting bong into crystal clear glass.
