RIP Bong, Welcome new steamroller(?)

Alright, so, my glass bong got broken- Snapped cleanly, for the most part, where the tube meets the bubble base. It had a little ice notch at that point, which, thankfully, is still there. I was studying it before I buried it (Damn right I'll put my piece in a box and bury her in the backyard.) and realized that the dip in the ice notch would be perfect for a bowl, and that I could make the tube into a steamroller.

I sanded down the broken edges about ten minutes ago with my pretty little Dremel Stylus.. And even though I have roughly 120 different attachments, the only thing I can find that will make a dent in the ice notch (hole for the bowl, as it were) is a small drill tip. I'm not sure on glass thickness, but it's not too thick. The Dremel is like a miniature, hand-held drill, ten speed.. Do ya'll think I need to bust out my hand drill to get the hole made, and if so, anyone know if there are drill bits small enough so that I won't shatter the shit?

Drilling glass is tricky. You have to have the correct bits (usually are labled as glass/tile). Also, you'll usually need some sort of cooling system so the bit/glass doesn't shatter. Having a buddy pour water slowly during drilling would work. The hardest part is keeping both the piece and drill stable and at the same angle. Do you know anyone with a drill press?

ive never done it but I would fill the tube with sand, cuz thats supposed to work from what I hear, but I dunno it could still crack

Use glass drill bits.

Submerge the area being drilled in a bucket of water and drill (obviously just stick the bit in the water, not the entire drill)

If there's more than one person, have them pour water over the bit the ENTIRE time your drilling.

Doing either the pouring or submerging keeps the glass from cracking.
