I was browsing the BBC news this morning , and came accross this interesting read.

Is it that shocking that cannabis is not good for everyone? Remember, as harmless as ganja seems to most of us it is still a drug, and everyone has unique body chemistry. If people keep looking for cannabis related problems they will find them. The real problem is everyone ignores the problems the "legal" drugs cause and demonize cannabis.

its foolish to discredit this just because its from the BBC, or just because its saying something negative about cannabis.

its a drug, it can have dramatic effects...many of which we have not studied much. i still use it, but im not gonna slap on the blinders and pretend that theres no way it could be harmful, even in a surprising way not known of yet.

no, it's dumb because they just talk about thc, meanwhile there are over 70 different cannabinoids in cannabis.

yes with THC being the majority

and you guys deny the fact that weed is harmful too much, its true that alcohol and cigs are more harmful and STILL legal but weed still has some harmful effects, dont knock the BBC when the US press demonizes it so much worse, and its fair to say that despite what studies people are gonna try and bring up, from experience MY memory has defs got worse since i started smokin weed

what the bbc doesn't say is more important then what they do say
"and increased likelyhood of psychosis" could mean anything.

and also the whole "street level potency of canabis" has already been disprooved

first of all i wish the street level potentcy was increasing then we could all get high off less weed.

second of all i've recently started smoking pretty regularly like over the last 9 months to a year and this 3rd quarter (in high school) was the best one i've had since freshman year... so suck on that bbc.

the levels of weed in the uk potency wise, have got stronger, but the hash has got shitter...

ie, more skunk, less imported brick,
less hash, more shitty soapbar

so technically, the grass is stronger these days

When they say "increases the likelihood of psychosis" that doesn't apply to EVERYONE... Why is it that when people read shit like that they assume the people are saying that everyone who smokes is going to have those same affects??? Like with ciggies - not <i>everyone</i> gets cancer/emphysema/heart disease/etc... Lots of people do, but not everyone will...

Likewise, weed CAN cause psychosis in SOME people. It can also trigger it in some people, too. This has been known for quite some time, now... I once read an un-biased book on the medical affects of most of the street drugs (it was a medical-type book) written in the 80's that had a section about how weed can cause/trigger psychosis. I've since read several, more recent, articles that all seem to show the same findings...


Weed is not completely harmless, as some people seem to want to think... It has it's cons - just like anything else.

i read thatt and the articles related to it and i think theyre onto something, people just get stoned and not high i usedto take bonghits out of my roor with the intention to get fucked up and after 3 years of that(quitting because of probation) i feel the effects immensley. i feel really stupid and my thinking is nearly gone my attention span is almost non existent people need to smoke less."all things in moderation" same goes with bud yea you can still smoke but dont get high 24/7 or else thats the way your brain is programed to function, under the influence and ive smoked once(day after i got tested) because i figured itd be out by the next test. i felt completely normal again while high and was thinking and doing things at full potential, the next day it was much worse than the days before.dont be so closed minded, i wish i wasnt because my brain is FUBAR (fucked up beyond all repair) and its not going to get much better than this and by the time my body is 50 years of age my brain will probably be about 70-80. just be open minded and look at the article, it doesnt say much but the articles on the "see also" list make alot of sense, and again this doesnt apply to everyone some people are more eisilly effected.

no it's not. the most thc content i've ever seen was like 20%
it also depends a lot on when the bud was picked.
