Volcano Vaporizer:Questions and Comments

yea, has anyone experimented with different herbs? I know the book the volcano comes with lists a bunch of herbs that can be used, but anyone have any experiences to share?

hint to begginers- have a bunch of one batch of pot to learn on; i played around w/6 harvests,4 strains- got confused+frustrated but have a line on it now..love it.
havent tried others but glad i got aromed. do u ever get bagsful of nothing or smoke w/ cano? is it fiddly?
again- anyone made iso or butane hash/oil w/remains?

I've smoked out of a volcano probably 20 or times where the guy would max out the temperature. I enjoyed it, definately a different type of high.

My question though is what's up with other vaporizers besides the Volcano? I know they're not as good as "The King" but has anyone smoked out of one? I'm wondering what the dropoff is between the Volcano and the others.

Before I found grasscity I googled vaporizer or something similar and discovered a thread here near the top of the medical forum. It's got alot of good info for somebody like me who hadn't really heard of vaporizers until I was shopping for a nice bong. 10 years ago vaporizing wasn't around like it is now, or I would have bought one.

Mine is a Silver Surfer and you can google them and they have a nice website. I don't work for them or anything, but I should because I could increase sales. In fact, somebody with money and time should start a corporation for the promotion and sales of vaporizer advertising and I'll participate for a nominal fee. Vaporizing people call me please, so I can get paid.

So i went to the local brew store and picked up some hops. I had two large vape bags of hops with a friend. We did not feel all that much to be honest. Tasted intresting. Light vapor. I ground up about half of the dish full worth of hops. Put it on 3.5 and it produced a nice light vapor. We smoked had a nice bag of weed after ther. We felt a little higher but also felt like the high ended rather abruptly. I have 2 bags of the stuff. It cost like 4 bucks for both. Not sure what it does. I hear it helps you sleep better. So I might try another bag before bed at 4 and see how that feels.

im going to buy a volcano very soon, ive seen the guns but they look 2 complicated hahaha. but yeh i was wondering, any1 think i shouldnt get it??? and has any1 had 2 replace the parts? cuz if so thats whack and i might not get it..but if i do should i buy extra bags???? i think i can get it for 500 even around here.....HELP WAT SHOULD I DOOOO

If you dont expect to have big parties where u need bag get aromed it is cheaper easier to use etc. www.aromed.com

I have only ever smoked from one type of vapo, that would be the volcano, and i probably will only vape from the volcano. It is that good. About replacing parts though, I have not had to do that as of yet, but when I do, it shouldn't be that hard. I mean I think you only have to replace the screens and maybe take apart the mouth-piece to clean it. Nothin to hard or complicated. When me and my friends bought the vape we got a pretty sweet deal, it was $570 total, but we got six boxes of extra bags, an extra mouth peice, two free grinders, a scale, extra screens and other little parts, a humidor and cigar cutter, plus some insense and a carrying case for the vape that locks.
If you can get it for 500 then i say go for it, it is well worth the money. but you may want to shop around for the best deal you can find.

have a best friend that you toke up with all the time? go in on a volcano with a friend, half the price for the top of the line. thats what I did, and I don't regret it one bit. It's complicated at first, but cleaning becomes easy. Pretty much wherever you get one, it will come with all the parts you will every need. good luck

Just use about an oz of the burnt up stuff for each stick of butter in whatever recipe that calls for butter.

Volcano rocks!!!!, i make canna butter brownies and let me tell you . It may take 3-4 hours to kick in but it will be hard to move if u over do it. feels like u took painkillers like 2-3 valiums. iv made iso hash also not to tastey but gets u high. I have recycled my schwag up to 10 times before. i just leave it out on a plate and i guess cause its humid here and the duff is so dry it sucks some moisture up. it may not work like the fresh stuff but it can sure take away the anxiety to smoke when u aint got none. iv also smoked the duff in a spoon and water bong taste sooooo bad will make u puke if ur not careful, but also gives a little bit of rush and helps with cravings if non is available. I just cant wait to try some DANK cause the volcano makes regs taste like mids. peace.

side note - i remember the first day with it i was kind of disappointed, but I slept like a baby, didnt wake up once hacking my lungs up, and in the morning i could take deep breaths with out a flem ball popin. Right there I knew it was worth every penny.

If I get some really dank stuff and have a relatively low tolerance (especially since it's really potent :P), how should I go about this? It will only take like 2-3 hits for me to get high if I'm doing it myself, so can I still vape this? If so, how? Would I only need to fill the bag up with barely any vapor before shutting it off?

Also, another question, how do you know once you should put some new weed in there? How do you know if the weed you have in there is "cashed".. it seems like it airs up no matter what. How can you tell?

I've smoked out of them at the BCMP (British Columbia Marijuana Party Headquarters). They have a vapor lounge there. They have a variety of models there but the only ones I've ever actually used were electronic and you selected the exact temperature. Most people use the 350-390 degrees F range. Personally my friends and I prefer to turn it a bit hotter so it burns the weed a little and you get some actual light smoke instead of just the vapors. The ones there have a max temp of 444 so I just put it on 420. It makes the high more like when you smoke normally and the bags last way longer because you can't finish it all in a couple of hits like with the vapor.

Once the weed is done (if burning at a normal temp) all the crystals will be gone. It will be a yellow green color usually, will look like shit, more like some arregeno than weed. As I said earlier you can burn at a higher temp too. If you do that then it's obvious when your weed is done. The vap doesn't waste much of your weed so i'd say a bowl of it would probably be equivalent to smoking the a joint of the same weed.

Is there anyway to tell if it's gone without opening up the bowl and checking it? Seems like a pain because the bowl is always hot, ou have to wait a couple minutes... is there a way by just observing the vapors being produced?
