I usually put in some duff remains and turn it up to 380 and hit that to warm up my aromed bowl and screen. Then I put the fresh in and start at aroun 350. I will have to try to go lower but at 350-360 I get about 15-20 draws with some stirring before the taste is gone. Then I put that away and use it to heat up the next session. If you look at your vap remains with a magnifier u will see there are still crystals on it and good for making butter.
U cant beat the aromed in my opinion.

Thanks for the info Colonel. Is all of that stuff found in weed?

The main thing I want to say to people that haven't tried vaporizing is that it just tastes soooo damn good and gets you hiiiiigggghhhhhh.

Holy shit. I did not know you could reuse vaped buds. Thats like getting double your moneys worth every time if you used the vaped bud in foods. I really want a volcano now damnit.

Burning on 5.5 with some kief is the tastiest thing ever, believe me it is sooooo good.
I know that if you go to erowid.com you can get all the chemical properties and burning points and shit like that for weed, but it is pretty much the same as what colonel posted.
but yeah lets try and keep this thread going because its great publicity for the vape and some good info is being exchanged here.

The different combinations of all those chemicals determine the type of high you get when you smoke.

yea, there is definately a difference in the type of high you get smoking out of a vaporizer vs. joint/piece/ what have you. As colonel posted, lots of the ingredients in weed are sedatives. When I smoke out of a piece, I feel super lazy, but out of a vap I feel like I have more energy. THC is giving the body the effect it's been trying to all along

for baking purposes, mentioned above, put weed in a pan with oil? I would think that would burn the thc? Seems kind of odd to me, but if it works i'll give it a try

With cooking you get more out of the meds by heating them up in butter or oil. I havent tried oil but have great success with butter. As long as you never heat above 170 degrees you just release the thcbs or what ever it is that is activated by digestion. It is the coolest deal to get to vap and then eat your herb.

The way I do my butter is about 21 g of vap remains added to 2 sticks butter that was put into 1 1/2 cups boiling water to melt and when meds added you reduce heat to simmer and simmer for 4 hours or longer. Then you strain the weed and get all the butter out and then put water and butter in fridge. Leave overnight and the take butter off top and pour water down the drain......

Then follow any recipe with your budder.....

I've had good luck w/ butter as well.

Last batch had 55 grams of vapo poo for a stick and a half of butter. they were out of this world strong.

My method is close to allmanjoy's but with a few differences.

I boil a pot of water, throw in the butter and the herb and just keep it at a rolling boil, stirring occasionally to keep the herb from stickin to the sides/bottom of the pot. 30-45 min later strain it through cheesecloth/coffee filter/t-shirt and into a plastic beer cup. Toss it in the fridge and let the butter solidify. Punch a hole in the bottom of the cup to let the water drain. Scrape off the bottom sludge layer and you got a nice hockey puck of butter to use as needed.

I had a volcano (until it was confiscated). Both my cousin (who also has a volcano) and I set the temperature to 7. As far as re-using vap weed, we both do. I use it with my friends as filler for a blunt if we are running low on green since there is still some THC in it. My cousin has told me that he put 11g of vap weed into some brownies and since he wasnt sure if it would work or not he also added 1g of hash. He told me that it was too strong for him and his wife, and they are pretty heavy tokers.

I had some camomile flowers from a tea bag. I put them in the bottom and layerd my weed ontop. I turned it up to 7 and did two bowls out of it. It was nice. The tea sort of smoothed everything out and had the great camomile taste. The camomile seems to calm you down some. I did a bag of just camomile, i deffinaly felt a little more relaxed. I want to find a place around here to get some hops. I heard vaporizing them felt intresting, I am now intrested in all the diffrent kinds of herbs you I can vaporize. Wish there was a good side that had a guide to herbs for the volcano and their uses. Anyone have any suggesitons?
