OT: Mixing alcohol with pills?

I've a few questions for you more experienced drug users out there:

1.) How dangerous is mixing in some alcohol in with pills? I'm curious because of the bogus warning labels on these prescription canisters, and wonder if they exagerate. I mean, people sometimes take up to thirty pills along with a few sips off an alcoholic beverage, obviously that's extremely risky, but people keep doing such things.

and...

2.) What would you consider a safe amount of alcohol to be mixed with some pills (if any amount is safe at all)? Obviously it matters how many pills are involved... but I need an idea of what is appropriate.

Pills and alcohol are a dangerous mix.. One person might be able to take several pills and then drink alot of alcohol.

Others may not live takeing a few pills and then drink one beer.

It does depend on the pills and the alcohol.

One life loss to this is too many.

These questions are out of curiosity, having a friend that OD'ed this past weekend, I wonder why he took 32 pills at once (pain killers), he didn't even consider the risks. I don't pop pills anymore, although I am tempted to know what Vs feel like (I'm a big guy, never had an actual trip on Vs).

For what ever reason he took that many wasn't a good one.

Some pain killers are strong. Depending on what they are, you have a high OD rate when mixed with alcohol. Taking that many of anything is not good..

As for V's. I used to do Vs a long time ago. They'll relax you, but don't over do it. A friend of mine stayed in the hospital for 4 days. He only took 4.

Different people react to different pills completely backwards.

pills and alcohol. damn, i did that last night. it was great. like they said, dont over do it. dont take too many pills or too many shots. it is dangerous so do it gradually. start low and ris e HIGH.

Alcohol and uppers (like a 6 pack and maybe 50 mgs of Adderall/Dexedrine/Desoxyn) feel really cool. It's like being up and drunk. But pain killers, they're different. One Oxycontin and a beer can kill you. One Valium and a beer will make you feel more drunk. Just take one pill first. After it kicks in drink a beer. Then repeat the process. There's not pill and alcohol calculator. BTW: 32 Advil will kill you, anyone who takes 32 prescription pain killers is stupid.

one oxycontin your first time doing 'em has a good chance of killing you. it's happened several times around here... i stay away from pills ('cept the occassional e-bomb). they fuck up your insides too much.

Well, i'm almost constantly on painkillers, (well, when i'm outta weed anyways) and the only pills i can honestly and safely reccomend taking whilst drunk are the ones that are 100% placebo!

but

I have dropped 3 sweeties (E) and drunk about my usual limit in one night. Very very silly. if you're drinking whilst pilling, make sure you only have a couple. 2nd worst comedown i ever had*. my mates were pretty worried about me.

*worst was of some pretty nastily cut speed.

Taking painkillas as a recreational drug is just soooo silly. There are no known prescription painkillers that do not have any serious side effects (either long or short term). The benifits can never outweigh the damage and risks. You'll be either rotting your stomach, giving yourself asthma (or making asthma worse, or even triggering an asthma attack imediately), setting yourself up for degenerative bone diseases, serious heart problems, respitory problems and circulation problems, liver failure, kidney failure, shitter failure, psychological problems, brain damage, nerve damage, and so and so on...

so... painkillers.... keep em for when you are in pain.

And as for the guy who took 32 painkillas in one night whilst drinking... WHO THE FUCK GAVE THAT GUY HIS DRUG ED??? am i right in thinking he WASN'T intentionally trying to commit suicide!!???!?? I know people who HAVE commited suicide on less.

and as for V...
that's not a road I'm willing to go down... but thats just me, I'm always cautious anything that is known to be addictive, and that creates a strong dependancey in the user. I've learned my lesson from evil cigs.

Thanks for the input, I think I'm going to extract the hydrocodone from my Vs and the propoxyphene from the Darvocets and try selling the pure chemicals, maybe then this shit will sell =/

First of all, what are V's? Darvocets, Vicodins, Darvons?????No idea

I am fairly young and have some type of arthritis. My body aches quite frequently, so I have prescriptions for Lortab 5's, Ultram's, and Darvocet's. I have drank with the lortab, only taking one and then drinking my usual. It was fun, but it makes you really sloppy and stupid. As for Ultrams, my friend took 4 and drank some beer and didn't feel a damn thing. And I gave my friend a Darvocet and he drank about 5 or 6 beers and felt pretty damn good. Anyways, that's my spill on painkillers and alchie.
