cornering a chillum

hey, i picked up a glass chillum a few days ago, and i was wondering, is it normal to corner a chillum, or do most people just light the whole thing at once?

i know that most of the people around here dont even corner their pipes, but i always do, and its a little tricky with the chillum because you cant see the bowl. any other chillum users out there?

i dont know diddly about using a chillium. how do they work?

i dont ever corner my bowl but usually i am the only one smoking out of it. so thats my preferance but about cornering a chillum i wouldnt but i suppose you could if you like. its all what you prefer.

If cornering the bowl means like only lighting the top half green of the bowl and leaving the other half un touched, then thats what I do with my chillum. Except I have a smaller, Thick CCG chillum that kicks ASS. Wish I could take pics but no camera :/

thats basically what i've been doing.

your pipe sounds like a lot like mine. i just got it a few days ago, but i've used it quite a bit so far. now it has a light purple-ish tint all over and the bowl is sort of frosted over with a light blue. it starts light bluw at the top and by the end its gone through a dark blue and become purple. its so pretty.

i would corner bowls but around here nobody does. the way i see it even if i do corner the bowl its just weed i dont get to smoke, cause the little green that wouold be left is gonna be gone by the time it gets back to me anyway...
might as well get the biggest hit possible while still being able to hold it for like 10 sec.

i would say smoke it however you want when smoking alone (duh)
and in a session, just dont BLAST the bowl with the lighter. I hate when people do this unecessarily, if you hold the flame a bit off from the weed and take a smooth long hit you will leave some green in there for the next hit.
i only techncally "corner" when smoking big bong loads, because usually bigger packs etc.

if you corner a bowl properly than only a small portion burns and it wont need to be lit again, so the green burns evenly. usually it burns right across the green the whole time, so when you cant see anymore green its done. i cant stand it when someone just scorches all the green, its such a waste and generally it has to be relit.

everyone around here scorches the shit oiut of it thinking they will get a bigger hit, i hold the lighter above the weed just so it turns black, (1/2-1 cm)

how about analyzing the basics, weed + fire + smoking device = messed up. its all going to get lit at one point or another, i dont think it makes a huge difference.

whats up cupcheck! if i'm alone it depends on if i'm trying to get ripped quick (like on the 5 minute drive to work) i'll scorch the whole thing. if i'm either chilling alone or with friends i just corner it, so my bro's get green hit too.

I try to corner it no matter what. If im with buddies, then they can get a hit with some green too. It polite. Even if I'm alone, I'll corner it, but not as much as i would if I were with someone. Cornering just means I'll have a few more hits in the beginning that taste good.
